Abu'l-Qásim Faizi
Abu'l-Qásim Faizi or Fayḍí (1906–1980) was a Persian people, Persian Baháʼí Faith, Baháʼí. He studied at the American University of Beirut. He married Gloria Faizi, Gloria ʻAláʼí in 1939. Together they pioneered to Iraq and Bahrain. Shoghi Effendi called him the 'sprititual conqueror' of Arabia, and appointed him Hands of the Cause, Hand of the Cause of God in 1957. In 1960, when the Baháʼí Faith in France, National Spiritual Assembly of France accepted Mason Remey's claim to be the Guardian (Baháʼí Faith), Guardian after the death of Shoghi Effendi, the Hands of the Cause, Custodians (who were the nine Hands of the Cause of God assigned specifically to work at the Baháʼí World Centre) sent Abu'l-Qásim Faizi to meet with them. Through his reports, the Hands of the Cause disbanded the Assembly, declaring its members Covenant-breaker, Covenant-breakers. Abu'l-Qasim Faizi
Abu al-Qasim () is an meaning "father of al-Qasim". It was an attributive ''kunya'' of Islamic prophet Muhammad, describing him as father to his son Al-Qasim ibn Muhammad. Hands Of The Cause Of God
Hand of the Cause was a title given to prominent early members of the Baháʼí Faith, appointed for life by the religion's founders. Of the fifty individuals given the title, the last living was ʻAlí-Muhammad Varqá, who died in 2007. Hands of the Cause played a significant role in propagating the religion, and protecting it from schism. With the death of Shoghi Effendi in 1957, the twenty-seven living Hands of the Cause at the time would be the last appointed. The Universal House of Justice, the governing body first elected in 1963, created the Institution of the Counsellors in 1968 and the appointed Continental Counsellors over time took on the role that the Hands of the Cause were filling. The announcement in 1968 also changed the role of the Hand of the Cause, changing them from continental appointments to worldwide, and nine Counsellors working at the International Teaching Centre took on the role of the nine Hands of the Cause who worked in the Baháʼí World Centre. ... The Baháʼí World Centre buildings are buildings that are part of the Baháʼí World Centre in Israel. Covenant-breaker
Covenant-breaker is a term used in the Baháʼí Faith to refer to a person who has been excommunicated from the Baháʼí community for breaking the Covenant of Baháʼu'lláh, meaning actively promoting schism in the religion or otherwise opposing the legitimacy of the chain of succession of leadership. Excommunication among Baháʼís is rare and not used for transgressions of community standards, intellectual dissent, or conversion to other religions. Instead, it is the most severe punishment, reserved for suppressing organized dissent that threatens the unity of believers. Currently, the Universal House of Justice has the sole authority to declare a person a Covenant-breaker, and once identified, all Baháʼís are expected to shun them, even if they are family members. Baháʼí World Centre
The Baháʼí World Centre is the name given to the spiritual and administrative centre of the Baháʼí Faith, representing sites in or near the cities of Acre and Haifa, Israel. Much of the international governance and coordination of the Baháʼí Faith occurs at the Baháʼí World Centre, including global teaching plans and study and translation of the Baháʼí holy writings.
