Haji Abid Ghoffar bin Aboe Dja’far or better known as Ebiet G. Ade (born in Wanadadi, Banjarnegara, Central Java, Indonesia on 21 April 1954) is an Indonesian singer-songwriter and guitarist of Javanese descent. Early life Ebiet G. Ade was born in Wonodadi, Banjarnegara, Central Java on 21 April 1954. He lived in Yogyakarta since elementary school. During high school, he joined Pelajar Islam Indonesia. In 1971, he associated with artists Yogyakarta, including Emha Ainun Nadjib. He was interested in poetry and wanted to be a poet. However, he was unable to read poems properly. He instead sang his poems after adding melodies. Musical career Albums In 1979, he released his first studio album, ''Camellia I''. His voice is similar to John Denver and Said Effendi. Notable songs from this album were "Lagu untuk Sebuah Nama" ("Song for a Name"), "Pesta" ("Party") and "Camellia". The album was sold more than 2 million copies. 1987 Bintaro Train Crash
The 1987 Bintaro train crash occurred in Pondok Betung urban village, Bintaro, South Jakarta, Indonesia, on Monday, 19 October 1987. Two passenger trains collided, causing 139 fatalities, making it Indonesia's worst railway crash to this day. A train departing from Rangkasbitung Station in West Java province (currently in Banten) collided with a train from Tanah Abang Station in Jakarta. The investigation indicated negligence from a station officer who gave a safe signal to the train from Rangkasbitung without confirmation from Kebayoran Station. The safe signal was given because the lines at Sudimara Station were crowded. Dieng Plateau
The Dieng Plateau, often called simply Dieng (; ) is a plateau in Central Java, Indonesia that forms the floor of the caldera complex on the Dieng Volcanic Complex. Administratively, this plateau is included in the territory of Banjarnegara Regency and Wonosobo Regency. It covers agricultural areas that have a subtropical climate with high levels of rainfall. Dieng is surrounded by a series of mountains that stretch about 6 km (4 miles) from north to south and 14 km (9 miles) from west to east. Jusuf Antono Djojo or Ian Antono, born Jauw Hian Ling, (born 29 October 1950 in Malang, Indonesia) is an Indonesian guitarist and songwriter. Erwin Gutawa Sumapraja (born 16 May 1962) is an Indonesian composer. In 1985, he started his professional music career by joining the jazz band Karimata, later becoming an independent composer in 1991.
