Abellana National School (ANS) is located in Cebu City, Philippines. It is a public high school established in the year 1902. History Abellana National School is situated at Osmeña Boulevard, Barangay Sambag II in Cebu City. It was formerly the Cebu State College of Science and Technology ( CSCST) - College of Arts and Trades. On June 10, 1983, it was converted into an extension campus of the CSCST by the passage of Batasang Pambansa Bilang 412, now already known as Abellana National School The school was the first Provincial High School, organized under the authority of Act. Batasang Pambansa
The Batasang Pambansa Complex, or simply the Batasan (), is the seat of the House of Representatives of the Philippines. It is located along the Batasan Road in Batasan Hills, Quezon City. The complex was initially the home of the Batasang Pambansa (legislature), Batasang Pambansa, the former legislature of the Philippines which was established as Interim Batasang Pambansa, an interim assembly in 1978 and finally as Regular Batasang Pambansa, an official body in 1984. The Philippine Commission was the name of two bodies, both appointed by the president of the United States, to assist with governing the Philippines. The First Philippine Commission, also known as the Schurman Commission, was appointed by President William McKinley on January 20, 1899 as a recommendatory body. Hilario Abellana
Hilario "Dodong" Abellana y Hermosa (October 23, 1896 – January 15, 1945) was a Filipino Visayan lawyer, politician and legislator from Cebu, Philippines. He was the municipal president of Cebu (1922–1931), a member of the House of Representatives (1934–1935), a two-term member of the National Assembly (1935–1941), and provincial governor of Cebu during World War II (1941–1943). After his escape and eventual captivity, he was executed by the Japanese Imperial Army and the resting place of his remains is still unknown.
