First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. Federally Administered Tribal Areas Cricket Team
The Federally Administered Tribal Areas cricket team (FATA) is a first-class cricket side represents Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) of Pakistan. They first competed domestic cricket in Pakistan in the 2015β16 season. FATA entered the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy through a qualifying round. In their first ever first-class match, they drew with Habib Bank Limited cricket team in the 2015β16 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. They won their first match in round 6 of the same edition of the tournament, when they defeated Rawalpindi by four wickets. In August 2016 they took part in Pakistan's domestic Twenty20 cricket tournament, the 2016β17 National T20 Cup. In their first match, they beat Rawalpindi by 15 runs. 2016β17 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy
The 2016β17 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was the 59th edition of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, Pakistan's domestic first-class cricket competition. It was contested by 16 teams representing eight regional associations and eight departments, and ran between 1 October and 15 December 2016. The format of the competition remained the same as the previous season, with two round-robin group stages and a final. The regions and departments were divided evenly between the two groups for the preliminary group stage, with the four top teams in each advancing to a "Super Eight" group stage; the top team in each of the Super Eight groups contested the final. Ten of the matches, including the two Super Eight fixtures and the final, were played as day/night games, in preparation for Pakistan's tour to Australia in December 2016.
