Addison Whittaker Richards, Jr. (October 20, 1902 – March 22, 1964) was an American actor of film and television. Richards appeared in more than 300 films between 1933 and his death in 1964. Biography A native of Zanesville, Ohio, Richards was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Addison Richards. His grandfather was a mayor of Zanesville. Following his father's death, the family moved to California. Ernest Milton Parsons (May 19, 1904 – May 15, 1980) was an American character actor. Career In 1927, Parsons performed with The Strolling Players of Boston acting company. On Broadway, he portrayed James Case in ''Unto the Third'' (1933), Saul of Tarsus in ''The Vigil'' (1948), and Albert Plaschke in ''Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep'' (1950). Milton Parsons signed with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in 1939 as a character actor. Bald-headed and wide-eyed, with a soft-spoken, British-accented voice (he actually hailed from Massachusetts), Parsons became typecast as morticians, coroners, mad doctors, and dangerous eccentrics, although he often played for comedy with a broad smile and bulging eyes. Ben Welden (born Benjamin Weinblatt; June 12, 1901 – October 17, 1997) was an American character actor who played a wide variety of Damon Runyon-type gangsters in various movies and television shows. Early years Welden was born in Toledo, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Career Welden's film debut occurred in the British production ''The Man from Chicago'' (1930). After freelancing for several years, he signed with Warner Bros. in 1937. Short, balding and somewhat rotund, Welden often literally played a " heavy", frequently in a somewhat comical or slightly dim-witted way, offsetting the sinister nature of his character's actions.
