Life and career Alec Shane Benjamin was born on May 28, 1994, in Phoenix, Arizona, where he and his sister were raised. He started writing songs at 13 and learning guitar in high school, and released his first extended play (EP) ''America'' in 2013. Alec Bedser (South African Cricketer)
Sir Alec Victor Bedser (4 July 1918 – 4 April 2010) was an English professional cricketer, primarily a medium-fast bowler. He is widely regarded as one of the best English cricketers of the 20th century. Bedser played first-class cricket for Surrey from 1939 to 1960 alongside his identical twin brother Eric. He took 1924 first-class wickets in 485 matches. He played Test cricket for England from 1946 to 1955, taking 236 wickets in 51 Test matches. He passed Clarrie Grimmett's world record for Test wickets in 1953. He held the record until his final tally was passed by Brian Statham in 1963. After retirement as an active cricketer, Bedser became the chairman of selectors for the English national cricket team, and was the president of Surrey County Cricket Club. Alec Edward Asher (born October 4, 1991) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Philadelphia Phillies, Baltimore Orioles, and Milwaukee Brewers and the Uni-President Lions of the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL). Career Asher had Tommy John surgery when he was 14 years old. He attended McKeel Academy of Technology through his sophomore year of high school. Alec Douglas Bangham FRS (10 November 1921 Manchester – 9 March 2010 Great Shelford) was a British biophysicist who first studied blood clotting mechanisms but became well known for his research on liposomes and his invention of clinically useful artificial lung surfactants. Life Bangham was the son of Donald Bangham, and Edith Kerby. He studied at the Downs School, and then Bryanston School, and proceeded to earn an MB MS in medicine from University College London. He was appointed to Addenbrooke's Hospital, where he served as a pathologist, in the Royal Army Medical Corps, becoming a captain in 1948. Bangham worked at the Babraham Institute in Cambridge from 1952 to 1982. He is best known for his research on liposomes. Alec Morrison Astle (born 5 August 1949) is a former New Zealand cricketer, schoolteacher and cricket administrator. Life and career Astle was born in Feilding. He is the father of Todd Astle. He played two first-class matches for the Central Districts in the 1978–79 season. He also played for Manawatu in the Hawke Cup. Astle was a long-serving and influential staff member, cricket coach and Deputy Rector of Palmerston North Boys' High School, where he taught for 24 years. Alec John Bettinger (born July 13, 1995) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for one season with the Milwaukee Brewers. Playing career Bettinger attended Hylton High School in Woodbridge, Virginia and played college baseball at the University of Virginia. He was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 10th round of the 2017 MLB Draft. Bettinger made his professional debut with the rookie ball Helena Brewers. He split the 2018 season between the Single-A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers and the High-A Carolina Mudcats, accumulating a 6–10 record and 5.22 ERA in 25 games. Alec Baillie (died November 10, 2020) was an American bassist. He played in the bands Choking Victim, Agent 99, and Leftöver Crack. Biography Baillie grew up in Manhattan and attended the same high school as his future bandmate Scott "Stza" Sturgeon. In the early 1990s, Baillie, Dunia Best, Jay Nugent and Ara Babajian formed the third wave ska band, Agent 99. In 1998, three years after the band had split up, a compilation album, ''Little Pieces 1993–1995'', was released. Baillie then formed a short lived punk band called No Commercial Value with Stza. Baillie later joined Stza's band Choking Victim after the departure of original bassist Sascha Scatter, and went on to play in Choking Victim from 1995 to 1997.
