AGM-129 ACM
The AGM-129 ACM (Advanced Cruise Missile) was a low-observable, subsonic, turbofan-powered, air-launched cruise missile originally designed and built by General Dynamics and eventually acquired by Raytheon Missile Systems. Prior to its withdrawal from service in 2012, the AGM-129A was carried exclusively by the US Air Force's B-52H Stratofortress bombers. Early development In 1982 the US Air Force began studies for a new cruise missile with low-observable characteristics after it became clear that the AGM-86B cruise missile would have difficulty penetrating future air defense systems. The AGM-86B relied on low-altitude flight to penetrate the Soviet air defense system centered on surface to air missiles. The African Content Movement (ACM) is a South African political party founded in December 2018 by former SABC acting COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng. History At the party launch, Motsoeneng claimed he would become president, that the country would produce 90% of its requirements, that the economy shall be in the hands of the people, make company workers shareholders, force foreign companies to leave the country and reduce social grants. Australasian Correctional Management (ACM) was a private Australian company that existed from 1991 to 2003 and was owned by American company Wackenhut. History From 1998 until 2003 ACM was responsible for running at least six immigration detention centres in Australia. ACM also ran the Auckland Central Remand Prison (ACRP) in New Zealand from its opening in July 2000 until control reverted to the Public Prisons Service in July 2005 due to the passing of the Corrections Bill 2005.
