ACF Fiorentina Hall Of Fame
This is a list of ACF Fiorentina players who have been inducted into the club's Hall of Fame. History and regulations ACF Fiorentina's Hall of Fame has been launched in 2012, resulting from a collaboration between ACF Fiorentina and Museo Fiorentina. Fiorentina has been the first Italian football club to launch such initiative. The award is given to players, managers, sporting directors, staff members, and historical supporters who have significantly marked the club's history. The inductees are selected by Museo Fiorentina and voted by a jury elected by the Collegio del Marzocco. The recipient are rewarded with the Marzocco Viola award, a statuette designed by the artist Marco Cantini and made by the silversmith Federico Sassoli. Portraits of the recipients are also made by Claudio Sacchi. Omar Batistuta
ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb ( ar, عمر بن الخطاب, also spelled Omar, ) was the second Rashidun caliph, ruling from August 634 until his assassination in 644. He succeeded Abu Bakr () as the second caliph of the Rashidun Caliphate on 23 August 634. Umar was a senior companion and father-in-law of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. He was also an expert Muslim jurist known for his pious and just nature, which earned him the epithet ''al-Fārūq'' ("the one who distinguishes (between right and wrong)"). Umar initially opposed Muhammad, his distant Qurayshite kinsman and later son-in-law. Following his conversion to Islam in 616, he became the first Muslim to openly pray at the Kaaba. 1938–39 Serie B
The Serie B 1938–39 was the tenth tournament of this competition played in Italy since its creation. Teams Casale, Fanfulla, SPAL, Siena and Salernitana had been promoted from Serie C, while Novara and Alessandria had been relegated from Serie A. Giorgio Albertazzi
Giorgio Albertazzi (20 August 1923 – 28 May 2016) was an Italian actor and film director. Born in San Martino a Mensola, Tuscany, Albertazzi joined the Italian Social Republic and reached the rank of lieutenant. After their defeat, he spent two years in prison for collaborating. Following the amnesty by Palmiro Togliatti he changed from studying architecture to acting. In the theater Albertazzi debuted in Shakespeare's ''Troilus and Cressida'', and over the following decades starred in a number of classics, many of them for television. From the early 1950s he was also seen on the big screen and appeared in more than 50 films. From 1969, he directed several television films, including the miniseries ''George Sand'' in 1981. Luigi Ridolfi Vay da Verrazzano (7 November 1895 – 31 May 1958) was an Italian politician, entrepreneur, and sporting director, founder and first chairman of ACF Fiorentina in 1926. Life and career Luigi Ridolfi was born into one of the oldest noble families in Florence. He participated in the World War I, and he was awarded a Silver Medal of Military Valor. He joined the National Fascist Party in 1921, actively participating in squad actions and the March on Rome as a deputy commander. Parallel to his political involvement, starting from the 1920s, he pioneeringly engaged in sports at different levels. He founded ACF Fiorentina and contributed to the construction of the Stadio Giovanni Berta in Florence, which later became known as the Stadio Artemio Franchi, as well as the Centro Tecnico Federale di Coverciano.
