9th Corps (People's Republic Of China)
The 9th Corps () was a military formation of the Chinese People's Liberation Army from the 1940s to the 1950s. The 9th Corps was activated in September 1949 from defecting Republic of China Army 42nd Reorganization Division. The Corps was composed of 25th, 26th and 27th Divisions. First Field Army (China)
The First Field Army of the Chinese Communist Party was a military formation in the last stages of the Chinese Civil War (1949–1950). The Northwest Field Army was originally under the command of Peng Dehuai with He Long and Xi Zhongxun as political commissars, which originally operated in Shanxi, Shaanxi, and Ningxia. It was 175,000 strong; most of its soldiers had been under the command of He Long during the war against Japan. He then became Peng's second-in-command. Peng's notable subordinates in the Northwest Field Army included Zhang Zongxun and Wang Zhen. Peng's forces were the most poorly armed of the newly re-organized army but were responsible for the area around the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) revolutionary base area, Yan'an. Shule County
Shule County, also known as Yengisheher County or Yengixahar County, is a county of Kashgar Prefecture, in Xinjiang, China. It is located to the south of Kashgar. In ancient times, the Shule area was once the home to a Xiyu oasis civilisation, the Shule Kingdom. Etymology Shule originally referred to Kashgar's new city, built by Han Chinese settlers, located from the old one. 42nd Reorganization Division (Republic Of China)
4 (four) is a number, numeral and digit. It is the natural number following 3 and preceding 5. It is a square number, the smallest semiprime and composite number, and is considered unlucky in many East Asian cultures. The Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (新疆生产建设兵团; abbreviated as 新疆兵团, or XPCC in English), also known as ''Bingtuan'', trading with the external name China Xinjian Group, is a state-owned enterprise and paramilitary organization in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China (PRC).
