5th Critics' Choice Real TV Awards
The 5th Critics' Choice Real TV Awards, presented by the Broadcast Television Journalists Association and NPACT, which recognizes excellence in nonfiction, unscripted and reality programming across broadcast, cable and streaming platforms, were held on June 15, 2023. The ceremony was not held in-person due to the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike, instead a television special saluting the winners was aired the day after on KTLA. ''Couples Therapy'' is an American television series on the Showtime network. The series documents couples therapy sessions under the direction of Dr. Orna Guralnik. Overview ''Couples Therapy'' shows parts of the therapy sessions of three to four couples per season. The producers and therapist of the series wanted to show what a therapeutic process actually looks like. They didn't want to show drama to the audiences, but the deep work that real therapy entails.
