3 Line (Sound Transit)
The 3 Line (colored magenta) is a future light rail line in the Seattle metropolitan area in the U.S. state of Washington, to be part of Sound Transit's Link light rail system. It is planned to connect Everett and Snohomish County to Downtown Seattle and West Seattle. The 3 Line would share tracks with the 2 Line from southern Everett to International District/Chinatown station along the 1 Line corridor. The line is planned to reuse existing tracks that are part of the 1 Line and its future expansions; the 1 Line will then be rerouted through a new Downtown Seattle tunnel to be built for the Ballard Link Extension. The Everett Link Extension to the north of Lynnwood will have six stations and is scheduled to open between 2037 and 2041. Lynnwood City Center Station
Lynnwood City Center station is a light rail and bus station in Lynnwood, Washington, United States. It is the largest transit hub in southwestern Snohomish County, Washington, Snohomish County and is the northern terminus of the 1 Line (Sound Transit), 1 Line, part of the Link light rail system managed by Sound Transit. It is also served by Community Transit and Sound Transit Express buses and includes a parking garage with 1,670 spaces and bicycle lockers. A cable-stayed bridge has one or more ''towers'' (or ''pylons''), from which wire rope, cables support the bridge deck. The West Seattle Bridge, officially the Jeanette Williams Memorial Bridge, is a Cantilever bridge, cantilevered segmental bridge that serves as the primary connection between West Seattle, Seattle, West Seattle and important highways such as Washington State Route 99, State Route 99 (and the State Route 99 tunnel, tunnel through downtown), the Spokane Street Viaduct, and Interstate 5 in Washington, Interstate 5.
