2022 Seattle Seahawks Season
The 2022 season was the Seattle Seahawks' 47th in the National Football League (NFL) and their 13th under the head coach/general manager tandem of Pete Carroll and John Schneider. For the first time since 2010, quarterback Russell Wilson and linebacker Bobby Wagner were not on the roster, as Wilson was traded to the Denver Broncos and Wagner was released and later signed with the Los Angeles Rams. Both were the last remaining players from their Super Bowl-winning season on the roster. Subsequently, Bruce Irvin, who played in two Super Bowls with the Seahawks, signed with the team for a third stint. The Seahawks improved on their 7–10 record from the previous year after a Week 17 win over the New York Jets. In the final week of the regular season, Seattle earned a winning record with a victory over the Los Angeles Rams, their division rivals who they managed to sweep for the first time since the 2013 season, and claimed the final NFC wild-card berth with the Detroit Lions ...

NFC West
The National Football Conference - Western Division or NFC West is one of the four divisions of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). It currently has four members: the Arizona Cardinals, the Los Angeles Rams, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Seattle Seahawks. The division was formed in 1967 as the National Football League Coastal Division, keeping with the theme of having all of the league's divisions starting with the letter "C." The division was so named because its teams were fairly close to the coasts of the United States, although they were on opposite coasts, making for long travel between division rivals. The NFL Coastal Division had four members: Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Colts, Los Angeles Rams, and San Francisco 49ers. Los Angeles and San Francisco occupied the West Coast, while Baltimore maintained its dominance over the lesser teams that remained in the division. Atlanta was placed in the division instead of the expa ...

49ers–Seahawks Rivalry
The 49ers–Seahawks rivalry is an American football rivalry between the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks in the National Football League (NFL). While the teams first met in , the rivalry did not develop until the early 2000s, specifically in , when the Seahawks were placed with the 49ers in the NFC West, allowing for two annual meetings between the teams. The Seahawks lead the series 30–20. The teams have met twice in the playoffs, a 23–17 Seahawks win in the 2013 NFC Championship Game and a 41–23 49ers triumph in the 2022 NFC Wild Card round. History Since the teams became NFC West division rivals in 2002, the rivalry has grown considerably. The rivalry was previously insignificant, due to both teams having little history against one another and both suffering long stretches of mediocrity. For example, while the Seahawks won four straight division titles from 2004 to 2007, the 49ers finished in third or fourth place each season and did not have a winning s ...

2022 Green Bay Packers Season
The 2022 season was the Green Bay Packers' 102nd in the National Football League (NFL), their 104th overall and fourth under head coach Matt LaFleur. The team achieved the most wins in NFL history when they beat the Chicago Bears in Week 13, who held the record at every season’s end since 1921 and were tied with the Packers for a three-week stretch leading up to the game. However, despite a 3–1 start, the Packers started to collapse. They would suffer a five-game losing streak (their longest since 2008), tumbling to a 3–6 record before ending their losing streak against the 6–2 Dallas Cowboys in overtime, 31–28. They failed to improve upon or match their 13–4 record from last season following a Week 8 loss to the Buffalo Bills. They would rally after falling to 4–8, winning four games straight and remaining in the playoff hunt. However, they lost the last game of the season to the Detroit Lions, eliminating the team from the playoffs for the first time since 2018. ...

The team raced out to a strong start, and with a Week 7 victory over the Denver Broncos, they improved on their 4–13 record from 2021. Their playoff hopes were dashed as they fell into a brutal six-game losing streak, while also failing to score a touchdown in their final three games, and were eliminated from playoff contention after a Week 17 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. A loss to the Miami Dolphins the following week led to the Jets finishing with a 7–10 record, which clinched New York's third consecutive season with double-digit losses. It was also the twelfth straight year the Jets did not qualify for the postseason, breaking the franchise record set from 1970–1980, as well as extending t ...

With the Seahawks tenth win in the eleventh week of the season, the team secured double-digit victories in consecutive seasons for the first time in franchise history. Their 13–3 regular season record is tied with the 2005 season for the best in franchise history. Seattle’s defense in 2013 is regarded by many to be one of the best in NFL history. Seattle entered the 2013 season at 17/2 odds to win Super Bowl XLVIII, just short of the Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers at 6/1. This was despite placing second in the NFC West and dropping its divisional round game against the Atlanta Falcons the previous year. The Seahawks were, by power ranking, ranked the strongest team by an NFL.com analyst before the season and by ESPN analysts after the regular season. The defense led the league in points allowed (231), yards allowed (4,378), and takea ...
