2017–18 New York Knicks Season
The 2017–18 New York Knicks season was the 72nd season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). On June 28, 2017, the Knicks' president of basketball operations Phil Jackson has mutually agreed to leave the team. On July 14, 2017, the Knicks named Scott Perry to become the team's general manager after promoting Steve Mills to become the team's president of basketball operations. However, the Knicks would have to give up a 2019 second round pick and cash considerations to acquire him. For the first time since 2011, Carmelo Anthony was not on the roster, as he was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the offseason, before training camp began, in exchange for Enes Kanter, Doug McDermott, and a 2018 second round draft pick. Jeff Hornacek
Jeffrey John Hornacek (; born May 3, 1963) is an American professional basketball coach and a former player who is a coaching consultant for the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He previously was the head coach for both the Phoenix Suns (2013–2016) and the New York Knicks (2016–2018). He was also an assistant coach for the Houston Rockets. He played shooting guard in the NBA from 1986 through 2000 and played collegiately at Iowa State University. The LNB Pro A, currently known for sponsorship reasons as Betclic Élite, is the top-tier men's professional basketball league in France. The competition has existed since 1921. Frank Ntilikina
Frank Bryan Ntilikina (; born 28 July 1998) is a French professional basketball player for the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was selected by the New York Knicks as the eighth overall pick during the 2017 NBA draft. Ntilikina was born in Belgium and grew up in the French city of Strasbourg.
