2014 Kentucky Wildcats Baseball Team
The 2014 Kentucky Wildcats baseball team represented the University of Kentucky in the 2014 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Wildcats played their home games in Cliff Hagan Stadium. The team was coached by Gary Henderson, who was in his sixth season at Kentucky. Consensus All-American A. J. Reed (pitcher - first baseman) won numerous awards: Golden Spikes Award, Dick Howser Trophy, SEC Player of the Year, and John Olerud Award (two-way player). Gary Henderson (baseball Coach)
Gary Henderson is an American baseball coach and former pitcher, who is the current head baseball coach of the Utah Utes. He played college baseball at Linfield in 1980 and at San Diego State for head coach Jim Dietz from 1982 to 1984. He was the head coach of the Chapman Panthers (1993), the Kentucky Wildcats (2009–2016) and Mississippi State Bulldogs (2018). Playing career Henderson pitched one year at Linfield College before transferring to San Diego State University, compiling a 19-5 career record at the two schools. Coaching career Henderson started coaching at his alma mater, San Diego State, as the junior varsity head coach. He had assistant coaching stints at Cal State Fullerton, Riverside Community College, Chapman College (served as head coach for 1 season), and Pepperdine. Tates Creek High School
Tates Creek High School (TCHS) is a public school in Lexington, Kentucky. The school is one of six high schools in the Fayette County Public Schools district. History Tates Creek High School was built, and founded in 1965 as the last of three schools on the Tates Creek Campus. (Tates Creek Elementary School and Tates Creek Middle School being the other two.) In 1993, Tates Creek High underwent renovations to significantly increase its size. In August 2019, it was decided a new Tates Creek High School would be constructed behind the original building which opened on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022. Lawrence County High School is a public high school in Louisa, Kentucky located at 100 Bulldog Lane, Louisa, KY 41230. History Lawrence County High School was established in September 1977. It shares its name with the county in which it is located, and offers public education to students of Lawrence County, KY between grades 9-12. The school offers many sports, an Army JROTC program, a vocational department, a music department, and many extracurricular activities. Louisa, Kentucky
Louisa is a home rule-class city located at the merger of the Levisa and Tug Forks into the Big Sandy River. It is located in Lawrence County, Kentucky, in the United States, and is the seat of its county. The population was 2,467 at the 2010 census and an estimated 2,375 in 2018. Theories include that it was named for Louisa County, Virginia, after Louisa Swetnam, one of the first white children born in the area, or after a corruption of the original name of the Levisa Fork, as it was originally written and spoken as the "Louisa Fork." Colonie Central High School
Colonie Central High School is a public high school in the town of Colonie, with the postal address of Albany, New York. In 2005 it had 2225 students and 132 classroom teachers. Zionsville Community High School
Zionsville Community High School (ZCHS) is a 4-year public high school located in Boone County, Zionsville, Indiana, United States. It is the only high school in the Zionsville Community School Corporation. History The high school was established in 1885 and graduated its first class in 1888. At that time it was located in the second-floor chapel of "The Academy", a small, brick, school house built in 1867 on Walnut Hill. Today, that site is the home of Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library. In 1910, it was commissioned as Eagle Township High School. The Chapel building was torn down in 1922 and replaced in 1924. Zionsville is a suburban town located in the extreme southeast area of Boone County, Indiana, United States, northwest of Indianapolis.
