2013 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship
The 2013 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship was a golf tournament contested from May 28 to June 2 at the Crabapple Course of the Capital City Club in Atlanta, Georgia. It was the 75th NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship, and the tournament was hosted by the Georgia Institute of Technology. The tournament was won by the Alabama Crimson Tide who won their first championship by defeating the Illinois Fighting Illini in the match-play championship round. The individual national championship was won by Max Homa of the California Golden Bears who won by three strokes. The seedings for the regional tournaments were released on May 6, 2013, and the regional rounds were held around the country from May 16 to May 18, 2013. Ohio State University Golf Club
The Ohio State University Golf Club is located at 3605 Tremont Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus. It was founded by L.W. St. John, (Ohio State University Athletic Director, 1912–1947). The golf club has two classical golf courses called Scarlet and Gray. The Scarlet was completed in 1938 and the Gray was finished later in 1940. The dedication ceremony was held on May 18, 1940, when Bob Kepler (golf coach from 1938 to 1965), Chick Evans, Blanche Sohl, and Patty Berg played 18 holes on the Scarlet course. Both the Scarlet and the much shorter Gray golf courses were designed by Dr. Alister MacKenzie, a world-renowned golf course architect. The Scarlet course is rated as one of the top collegiate courses in the nation. Palouse Ridge Golf Club
Palouse Ridge Golf Club is an 18-hole championship golf course in the northwest United States, located at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington. On the east edge of campus on the Palouse of the Inland Northwest, it opened for play in 2008 and is the home venue of the Cougar golf teams of the Pac-12 Conference. Designed by John Harbottle III (1958–2012), its back tees (Crimson) are at ; the course rating is 75.4 with a slope rating of 140. Kent State Golden Flashes Men's Golf
The Kent State Golden Flashes men's golf team is an intercollegiate sport at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, United States. The program was established in 1934 and competes in the National Collegiate Athletic Association at the Division I level as a member of the Mid-American Conference. Through the 2021–22 season, the Flashes have won 30 conference titles, which includes two championships won as a member of the Ohio Athletic Conference prior to 1951. The 28 MAC titles are the most men's golf titles in conference history and the most conference titles among any sport at Kent State. The Oklahoma State Cowboys and Cowgirls are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent Oklahoma State University, located in Stillwater. The program's mascot is a cowboy named Pistol Pete.
