2025 Women's Euro Hockey League
The 2025 Women's Euro Hockey League was the fifth edition of the Women's Euro Hockey League, Europe's premier women's club field hockey tournament, organized by the European Hockey Federation. Amsterdam were the defending champions, having won their second title in 2024. They failed to qualify for this year's edition. The tournament was hosted by HC 's-Hertogenbosch alongside the men's Final8 at Sportpark Oosterplas in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands from 16 to 21 April 2025. This was the first edition under a new format, with 12 instead of 8 participating teams. This increased the total number of matches played in the competition from 10 to 16. Real Club de Polo de Barcelona () is a country club in Barcelona, Spain. Established in 1897, it had 9000 members at the time of the 1992 Summer Olympics. A single-elimination knockout, or sudden-death tournament is a type of elimination tournament where the loser of a match-up is immediately eliminated from the tournament. Hockey Wales () is the national governing body for field hockey in Wales. It was established as Welsh Hockey Union in 1996 by the merger of Welsh Hockey Association and Welsh Women's Hockey Association, and rebranded to the current name in 2011. Turkish Hockey Federation (, THF) is the governing body of the field hockey and indoor field hockey sports in Turkey. It was established on 6 February 2002. Hockey Ireland, previously known as the Irish Hockey Association, is the governing body for field hockey in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. England Hockey is the Sports governing body, national governing body for the sport of field hockey in England. There are separate governing bodies for the sport in the other parts of the United Kingdom. History and organisation England Hockey was formed on 1 January 2003 to replace the English Hockey Association (EHA) which had had to suspend operations in 2002 because of significant financial problems. Royal Belgian Hockey Association
The Royal Belgian Hockey Association (; ) is the governing body for the game of (field) hockey in Belgium. It was formed in 1907 and as of 2014 it is presided by Marc Coudron. Since 2012, the association has two affiliated branches that entirely govern the sport at regional level; these are the Vlaamse Hockey League (Dutch-speaking) and the Ligue Francophone de Hockey (French-speaking). This split was due to the recognition and awarding of subsidies that are in the authority of the Flemish- and French-speaking Communities.
