2025 Wimbledon Championships – Women's Singles Qualifying
The 2025 Wimbledon Championships – Women's singles qualifying is a series of tennis matches that will take place from 24 to 26 June 2025 to determine the sixteen qualifiers into the main draw of the 2025 French Open – Women's singles, women's singles tournament. Only 16 out of the 128 qualifiers who compete in this knock-out tournament, secure a 2025 Wimbledon Championships – Women's singles, main draw place. Seeds The qualifying entry list was released based on the WTA rankings for the week of 26 May 2025. All seed (tennis), seeds are per WTA rankings as of 16 June 2025. 2025 French Open – Women's Singles
Coco Gauff defeated Aryna Sabalenka in the final, 6–7(5–7), 6–2, 6–4 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2025 French Open. It was her first French Open singles title and second major singles title overall. Gauff was the first American to win the title since Serena Williams in 2015. It was the first French Open final between the world No. 1 and 2 since 2013, and the first at any major since the 2018 Australian Open. Sabalenka was the first woman to reach the final of three consecutive majors since Williams in 2016. Iga Świątek was the three-time defending champion, but lost in the semifinals to Sabalenka. The defeat ended her 26-match win streak in the event, second only to Chris Evert's 29 consecutive wins. Ella Luise Seidel (born 14 February 2005) is a German professional tennis player. She has a career-high WTA singles ranking of world No. 109, achieved on 9 June 2025, and a best doubles ranking of No. 190, attained on 23 September 2024. Varvara Petrivna Lepchenko (born May 21, 1986) is an Uzbekistani-born American professional tennis player. She is of Ukrainian descent and played for Uzbekistan before relocating to the United States.
