2025 WCHA Women's Ice Hockey Tournament
The 2025 WCHA Ice Hockey Tournament was the 26th edition of the WCHA Tournament. It was played between February 28 and March 8, 2025. The final two rounds were hosted by the University of Minnesota Duluth at AMSOIL Arena, after the first round was played at the home ice of the top four seeds. Wisconsin entered the tournament as the defending champions. Wisconsin repeated as tournament champions and earned the conference's automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey tournament. Format The tournament includes all eight teams in the conference. Teams were ranked according to their finish in the conference standings. All quarterfinal games are best two of three and are played at the highest seed's home sites, and starting with the semifinals, single-elimination played at AMSOIL Arena. 2024–25 NCAA Division I Women's Ice Hockey Season
The 2024–25 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season began in September 2024 and ended with the 2025 NCAA National Collegiate women's ice hockey tournament's championship game at Ridder Arena in Minneapolis, Minnesota on March 23, 2025. Caroline Harvey (ice Hockey)
Caroline "K.K." Harvey (born October 14, 2002) is an American college ice hockey defenceman for Wisconsin and member of the United States women's national ice hockey team. She represented the United States at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Playing career Harvey was originally committed to play college ice hockey for the Wisconsin during the 2021–22 NCAA season but deferred to the 2022–23 NCAA season after being selected to represent team USA at the 2022 Winter Olympics. During the 2022–23 season, in her rookie year, she recorded 12 goals and 26 assists in 39 games. She led all WCHA rookies with 38 points. Her 38 points were the fifth most in program history by a defender and only trailed Sis Paulsen for most points as a rookie defender. Sarah Wozniewicz
Sarah Wozniewicz (born August 25, 2003) is a Canadian ice hockey forward for the Ottawa Charge of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). She played college ice hockey at Wisconsin. Early life Wozniewicz was born to John and Rhonda Wozniewicz and has one brother, Eric. She attended Edge School where she played ice hockey. She was named the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) Female Prep Freshman of the Year in 2019 and the CSSHL Female Prep Most Valuable Player of the Year in 2020. On December 14, 2020, she signed her national letter of intent to play college ice hockey at Wisconsin. Kirsten Simms (born August 31, 2004) is an American college ice hockey forward for the University of Wisconsin of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and member of the United States women's national ice hockey team. She was named Most Outstanding Player at the 2025 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey tournament. LaBahn Arena
LaBahn Arena is the home ice of the Wisconsin Badgers women's ice hockey team. It was the second arena to be purpose-built for a women's collegiate hockey team; the first was Minnesota Golden Gophers women's ice hockey, Minnesota's Ridder Arena. The arena is connected via a tunnel to the Kohl Center, which the women's team shared with the men's team from its inception in 1999 until 2012. The men's team also practices there. Lacey Eden (born May 2, 2002) is an American college ice hockey player for Wisconsin and member of the United States women's national ice hockey team. Playing career Eden began her collegiate career for the Wisconsin Badgers during the 2020–21 season. During her first month with the team, she tied for the league lead among rookies in goals (three), assists (four) and points (seven), shots on goal (23), and plus/minus (+6). She was subsequently named the WCHA Rookie of the Month for the month of February 2021.
