2025 NCAA Division I Softball Season
The 2025 NCAA Division I softball season, play of college softball in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I (NCAA), Division I level, began in February 2025. The season progressed through the regular season, many conference tournaments and championship series, and concluded with the 2025 NCAA Division I softball tournament and 2025 Women's College World Series. The Women's College World Series, consisted of the eight remaining teams in the NCAA Tournament and held annually in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at Devon Park (stadium), Devon Park, ended in June 2025. 2025 Clemson Tigers Softball Team
The 2025 Clemson Tigers softball team was the varsity college softball team that represented Clemson University during the 2025 NCAA Division I softball season. This was the sixth season of Clemson's softball program. The Tigers competed in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and were led by head coach John Rittman. Clemson played its home games at McWhorter Stadium in Clemson, South Carolina. The Tigers started the season by travelling to the FAU Softball Tournament and then the Shriners Children's Clearwater Invitational. The start of the season proved difficult for the Tigers as they went 3–2 at the FAU Tournament, and 1–4 at the Clearwater invitational. They began the season ranked twenty-fifth, but dropped out after the FAU Touranmament. 2025 Arkansas Razorbacks Softball Team
The 2025 Arkansas Razorbacks softball team represented the University of Arkansas in the 2025 NCAA Division I softball season. The Razorbacks were led by tenth-year head coach Courtney Deifel and played their home games at Bogle Park in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Infielder Bri Ellis was named the 2025 SEC Player of the Year, 1st Team All-SEC, the Softball America National Player of the Year, and the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year. On May 18, Arkansas won the Fayetteville Regional championship in the NCAA softball Tournament, and earned the right to host a Super Regional. On May 25, Arkansas lost to Ole Miss in the Fayetteville Super Regional, and was eliminated from the NCAA Tournament. 2025 UCLA Bruins Softball Team
The 2025 UCLA Bruins softball team represented the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in the 2025 NCAA Division I softball season. The Bruins were coached by Kelly Inouye-Perez, in her eighteenth season. The Bruins played their home games at Easton Stadium and competed in the Big Ten Conference. The 2025 Oklahoma Sooners softball team was an American college softball team that represented the University of Oklahoma during the 2025 NCAA Division I softball season. The team was coached by Patty Gasso in her thirty-first season, and played their home games at Love's Field. This season was the team's first as a member of the Southeastern Conference. The Longhorns played their home games at Red and Charline McCombs Field as a first-year member of the Southeastern Conference. Teagan Kavan (born February 28, 2005) is an American college softball pitcher for Texas. High school career Kavan attended Dowling Catholic High School in West Des Moines, Iowa. She played travel softball for Iowa Premier Fastpitch, where she recorded 1,444 strikeouts in innings, with 45 shutouts and six no-hitters. On November 9, 2022, she signed her national letter of intent to play college softball at Texas. College career As a freshman during the 2024 season, Kavan appeared in 31 games, with 24 starts, and posted a 20–3 record and four saves, with a 2.20 earned run average (ERA), 135 strikeouts, nine complete games and six shutouts in innings. Mike White (softball)
Mike White is a New Zealand-born American softball coach who is the current head coach at Texas. Early life A native of New Zealand's capital of Wellington, White grew up playing multiple sports, most notably soccer and softball. In a 2023 interview, White told ESPN writer Dave Wilson that he had hopes of making the national soccer team, but a planned training trip to Fiji and New Caledonia was scuttled due to civil unrest in Fiji. He had been a star pitcher in New Zealand, a hotbed for men's fast-pitch softball, and around the time his soccer trip was canceled, he received a call from the U.S. inviting him to play softball there.
