2025 Men's Hockey Africa Cup Of Nations
The 2025 Men's Hockey Africa Cup of Nations will be the 12th edition of the Men's Hockey Africa Cup of Nations, the quadrennial international men's field hockey championship of Africa organised by the African Hockey Federation. In March 2025 it was announced that the tournament would be held alongside the 2025 Women's Hockey Africa Cup of Nations, women's tournament in Ismailia, Egypt from 11 to 18 October 2025. The winner will qualify for the 2026 Men's FIH Hockey World Cup. Qualification The top two highest-ranked teams in the FIH World Rankings qualified directly for the tournament while the other teams had to play in the regional qualifiers. The top two teams from each of the regional qualifiers qualified for the tournament. The three regions were North-East Africa, North-West Africa, and Central-South Africa. Ismailia
Ismailia ( ', ) is a city in north-eastern Egypt. Situated on the west bank of the Suez Canal, it is the capital of the Ismailia Governorate. The city had an estimated population of about 1,434,741 according to the statistics issued by the Central Agency for Mobilization and Statistics on 27 July 2022. It is located approximately halfway between Port Said to the north and Suez to the south. The Canal widens at that point to include Lake Timsah, one of the Bitter Lakes linked by the Canal. The 2025 Men's Hockey Central-South Africa Qualifier for the Africa Cup of Nations was a qualification event for the Africa Cup of Nations. It was held alongside the women's qualifier in Harare, Zimbabwe from 17 to 24 August 2024. Namabia won the tournament by defeating Zambia 4–0 in the final. As the top two teams they qualified for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. The 2026 Men's FIH Hockey World Cup will be the 16th edition of the Men's FIH Hockey World Cup, the quadrennial world championship for men's national field hockey teams organized by the International Hockey Federation. The Suez Canal Authority Stadium is located in Ismailia, Egypt. It is used by Olympic El Qanah. The stadium was demolished and was completely reconstructed between 2019 and 2022.
