2025 Giro D'Italia Women
The 2025 Giro d'Italia Women will be the 36th edition of the Giro d'Italia Women, a women's road cycling stage race in Italy. The race will take place from 6 to 13 July, and will be the 21st event of the 2025 UCI Women's World Tour calendar. The race will be organised by RCS Sport, which also organise the men's Giro d'Italia. Teams Twenty-two teams will take part in the race. The teams were announced on 23 June 2025. All 15 UCI Women's WorldTeams were automatically invited. They will be joined by two UCI Women's ProTeams and five UCI Women's Continental Teams. 2025 UCI Women's World Tour
The 2025 UCI Women's World Tour is a competition with twenty-seven road bicycle racing, road cycling events throughout the 2025 in women's road cycling, 2025 women's cycling season. The competition began with the 2025 Women's Tour Down Under, Women's Tour Down Under from 17 to 19 January, and will finish with the 2025 Tour of Guangxi (women's race), Tour of Guangxi on 19 October. It is the tenth edition of the UCI Women's World Tour – launched by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) in 2016 – but for the first time is not a ranking competition in its own right, with the rankings having been removed from the UCI's Road Race regulations. 2025 Tour De France Femmes
The 2025 Tour de France Femmes (officially Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift) will be the fourth edition of the Tour de France Femmes. The race will take place from 26 July to 3 August 2025 and will be the 22nd race in the 2025 UCI Women's World Tour calendar. The race is organised by the Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO), which also organises the men's Tour de France. The race has been extended to nine days, which will make it the longest Tour de France Femmes, and the longest event on the UCI Women's World Tour calendar. Mortirolo Pass
The Mortirolo Pass () (el. 1852 m.) is a high mountain pass in the Alps in Italy. Also known as Passo della Foppa, it connects Mazzo di Valtellina (province of Sondrio) and Val Camonica (province of Brescia). The road from Mazzo di Valtellina is one of the most demanding climbs in professional road bicycle racing, having been used in the Giro d'Italia stage race many times. Alfonsina Strada
Alfonsina Strada (16 March 1891 – 13 September 1959) was an Italian cyclist, the only woman to have ridden one of cycling's three major stage races. She started in the Giro d'Italia in 1924 when the organisers mistook her for a man. Newspapers called her ''The Devil in a dress''. Her racing career included an Italian record which lasted 26 years. She died aged 69 as she propped up her motorcycle after riding it to a bicycle race. Early life Born Alfonsina Morini at Castelfranco Emilia, near Modena, she was the daughter of a peasant family. Her father was a day labourer, her mother a wet nurse. One account says her house was a windowless shack through which chickens ran; another says she was one of 24 living there. Passo Del Tonale
Tonale Pass () (el. 1883 m./6178 ft.) is a high mountain pass in northern Italy across the Rhaetian Alps, between Lombardy and Trentino. It connects Valcamonica and Val di Sole. It is delimited by the Ortler Alps to the north and the Adamello range to the south. The pass has hotels and shops for tourists in winter, as the land around the pass is used for winter sports – mainly skiing (see Adamello Ski Raid) and snowboarding. During World War I the place was heavily fought for between Italians holding Western side (Lombardy) and the troops of Habsburg Empire holding the Eastern side (Trentino). Monte Nerone
The Monte Nerone is a mountain in the Umbrian Apennines, in the province of Pesaro e Urbino, Marche, central Italy. The highest peak is at 1,525 m above sea level. The Monte Nerone is a limestone massif, including several aspects of Karst topography. The core of the mountain is formed by an oncoidal limestone reef covered by successive pelagic carbonate deposits including ammonite beds.
