2025 Eurocup-3 Season
The 2025 Eurocup-3 season is the third season of the Eurocup-3 series. Eurocup-3 is a multi-event motor racing championship for single-seater open wheel formula racing cars held across Europe, created in 2023 as an alternative to the FIA-sanctioned Formula Regional European Championship and the Euroformula Open Championship, Euroformula Open championship. Following an inaugural non-championship round in March 2024, the Eurocup-3 and F4 Spanish Championship, Spanish F4 organisers announced the creation of a new Spanish Winter Championship for each series, held across the Iberian Peninsula in the early months of 2025. Main series Teams and drivers Teams utilize the same Tatuus F3 T-318 chassis used in the Formula Regional European Championship, but fitted with a different body kit, and new intercoolers and a battery kits, as well as being 25 kg lighter. Eurocup-3 is a formula racing series regulated according to Formula Regional regulations. The series is founded for levelling up the competition for all drivers, with each team committing on a maximum budget of €400,000 every season. History The championship was inaugurated in 2023, and was formed as an alternative to the FIA-sanctioned Formula Regional European Championship and the Euroformula Open Championship, especially after the latter series struggled to attract entries in Euroformula Open Championship, late 2022. Cars Teams use the identical Tatuus F3 T-318 chassis from the Formula Regional European Championship, but these chassis are provided with a new intercooler, updated body kit, and battery kit. Lenny Ried (born 1 July 2007) is a German racing driver from Ehingen. He is set to compete in the 2025 Eurocup-3 season with Sparco Palou MS. Career Karting Ried has an impressive karting résumé, especially in his native Germany. From 2017 to 2018, he competed in Bambini karting, where he secured a best championship result of 2nd in the ADAC Kart Masters. For the next three years, he went on to compete on OK-Junior karts, where his most successful year came in 2021, finishing 6th in both the Deutsche Kart Meisterschaft and the ADAC Kart Masters. Victoria Eduardovna Blokhina (; born 4 November 2006) is a Russian racing driver who is set to compete in the 2025 Eurocup-3 season for Drivex. Career Karting Blokhina was in junior karting in 2019 and 2020, securing a best result of 40th in the WSK Open Cup. She stepped up to senior karting for one year in 2021 and she secured some decent results, including an eighth-placed finish in the Italian ACI Karting Championship. Preston Lambert (born 5 September 2007) is an American racing driver. He most recently competed in the 2024 F4 Spanish Championship with Rodin Motorsport. He is set to contest the 2025 Eurocup-3 season with Drivex. Career Karting Lambert made his debut at the SKUSA SuperNationals in 2022, competing in the KA100 Junior class, finishing 46th. Nguyễn Owen Tangavelou (born 4 March 2005) is a Vietnamese and French racing driver, who competes in the USF Pro 2000 Championship for DEForce Racing. Born and raised in Paris to a Vietnamese father and French-Polish mother, Tangavelou began competitive kart racing aged 14. Oscar Wurz (born 29 September 2007) is an Austrian racing driver. He is the current 2024 Formula 4 CEZ champion, where he drove for Jenzer Motorsport. Drivex is an auto racing team and school based in Spain. The team was founded by Pedro de la Rosa and Miguel Ángel de Castro in 2005 as a racing school. James Luis Egozi (born 10 December 2007) is an American racing driver from Florida. He is set to compete in the 2025 Eurocup-3 season with Palou Motorsport. He is a former member of the Red Bull Junior Team. Career Karting Egozi started karting in his home country, and his first title came at the Florida Winter Tour in the Rotax Micro Max category in 2017.
