2025 Copenhagen Sprint (women's Race)
The 2025 Copenhagen Sprint was a Danish road cycling one-day race that took place on 21 June. It was the first edition of the Copenhagen Sprint and the 20th event of the 2025 UCI Women's World Tour. The race was held the day before the inaugural men's Copenhagen Sprint. Dutch rider Lorena Wiebes of won the race in a sprint finish. Teams Eleven UCI Women's WorldTeams, three UCI Women's ProTeams, five UCI Women's Continental Teams, and the Danish national team took part in the race. Amalie Dideriksen
Amalie Dideriksen (born 24 May 1996) is a Danish road and track cyclist, who rides for UCI Women's ProTeam . Career She won the junior women's road race at the World Championships in 2013 and 2014 as well as a bronze medal in the scratch race at the 2013 UCI Juniors Track World Championships. In both 2014 and 2015, she won the Danish national road race championship and in 2015, she also won silver in the women's omnium at the European Track Championships. Dideriksen participated in the women's omnium at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Ranking 9th after the flying lap, she surprised everyone by winning the points race thus elevating her to an overall 5th place. Lily Williams (born June 24, 1994) is an American professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's Continental Team . Williams, the daughter of Olympic speed skater Sarah Docter Williams, grew up in Florida and ran cross country for Vanderbilt University. After graduating from Vanderbilt, she enrolled at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism in 2016 and took up an interest in competitive cycling. In June 2021, she qualified to represent the United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics. She competed in the qualifying round of the women's team pursuit in track cycling. Team USA went on to earn a bronze medal in the final. At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Williams won the gold medal in women's team pursuit in track cycling alongside Chloé Dygert, Kristen Faulkner, and Jennifer Valente. Østre Anlæg is a public park in Copenhagen. Once it was a part of the old Fortifications of Copenhagen, city fortifications. The park was designed by landscape architect H.A. Flindt who also designed Ørstedsparken and University of Copenhagen Botanical Garden, Copenhagen Botanical Garden on the old fortification.
