2025 Big East Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2025 Big East Men's Basketball Tournament was the postseason men's basketball tournament for the Big East Conference held March 12–15, 2025, at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The winner, 2024–25 St. John's Red Storm men's basketball team, St. John's, received the conference's automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, 2025 NCAA Tournament. The double-overtime quarterfinal game between DePaul and Creighton on March 13 was the first multi-overtime game in the Big East men's basketball tournament, Big East tournament since the foundation of the new Big East Conference in the offseason of 2013. It also was the first in the tournament since a double-overtime game in 2012 Big East men's basketball tournament, 2012, when the tournament belonged to the Big East Conference (1979–2013), original Big East Conference of 1979–2013. The 2024–25 UConn Huskies men's basketball team represented the University of Connecticut in the 2024–25 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Huskies were led by seventh-year head coach Dan Hurley in the team's fifth season since their return to the Big East Conference. The Huskies played their home games at the Harry A. Kameron Deshun Jones (born February 25, 2002) is an American professional basketball player for the Indiana Pacers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Marquette Golden Eagles. Early life and high school career Jones grew up in Memphis, Tennessee and boxed in addition to playing basketball. Ryan Thomas Kalkbrenner (born January 17, 2002) is an American basketball player. He played college basketball for the Creighton Bluejays men's basketball, Creighton Bluejays. Kadary Richmond (born August 25, 2001) is an American basketball player. He played college basketball for the St. John's Red Storm, Seton Hall Pirates and Syracuse Orange. High school career Richmond played for Midwood High School in his hometown of Brooklyn as a freshman before transferring to South Shore High School. Zuby Ejiofor (born April 20, 2004) is an American college basketball player for the St. John's Red Storm. He previously played for the Kansas Jayhawks. Early life and high school Ejiofor attended Garland High School in Garland, Texas, where he averaged 21 points and 13 rebounds per game as a junior. A coxless four, abbreviated as a 4- and also called a straight four, is a racing shell used in the sport of competitive rowing.
