2024–25 Women's National Cricket League Season
The 2024–25 Women's National Cricket League season is the ongoing 29th season of the Women's National Cricket League, the women's domestic limited overs cricket competition in Australia. The tournament ran from 24 September 2024 to 2 March 2025. Seven teams are competing in a double round-robin tournament. Tasmania are the defending champions. Naomi Stalenberg
Naomi Elizabeth Stalenberg (born 18 April 1994) is an Australian cricketer who plays as a right-handed batter and right-arm medium bowler. She represented New South Wales in domestic cricket beginning in 2013, and in 2016 she played a Twenty20 International (T20I) for the Australian national cricket team. In 2020 she was cut from New South Wales' squad and began playing for Tasmania. She has also played in the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) for the Sydney Thunder and the Hobart Hurricanes. Early life Stalenberg was born in Blacktown in Greater Western Sydney on 18 April 1994. Her grandparents had immigrated to Australia from the Netherlands. Karen Rolton Oval
Karen Rolton Oval is a cricket ground in Adelaide, South Australia, named after the Australian former cricketer Karen Rolton. It is located near the corner of West Terrace and Port Road, opposite the new Royal Adelaide Hospital, in the eastern end of Park 25 of the Adelaide Park Lands. The Port Adelaide Football Club looked into buying the ground in 2014, although this was blocked by the SACA in 2015. Emma De Broughe
Emma de Broughe (born 6 September 2000) is an Australian cricketer and former field hockey player who plays for the South Australian Scorpions in the Women's National Cricket League, and for the Melbourne Renegades in the Women's Big Bash League. Originally a multi-sport athlete, de Broughe decided to switch to cricket following the COVID-19 pandemic. Cricket Emma de Broughe plays for Sturt Cricket Club in SACA's Statewide Super 1st Grade competition. In the Women's National Cricket League (WNCL), De Broughe represents the South Australian Scorpions. Not Out
In cricket, a batsman is not out if they come out to bat in an innings and have not been dismissed by the end of an innings. The batsman is also ''not out'' while their innings is still in progress. Occurrence At least one batter is not out at the end of every innings, because once ten batters are out, the eleventh has no partner to bat on with, so the innings ends. Usually, two batters finish not out if the batting side declares in first-class cricket, and often at the end of the scheduled number of overs in limited overs cricket. Batters further down the batting order than the not out batters do not come out to the crease at all and are noted as ''did not bat'' rather than ''not out''; by contrast, a batter who comes to the crease but faces no balls is ''not out''. Anesu Catherine Mushangwe (born 25 February 1996) is a Zimbabwean cricketer who plays for the Zimbabwe women's national cricket team. She currently resides in Australia. Early life Mushangwe first attended primary school in Greendale, before moving to Chinembiri. Jemma Louise Barsby (born 4 October 1995) is an Australian cricketer who plays for South Australia and Adelaide Strikers. She has previously played for Queensland, Brisbane Heat and Perth Scorchers. Allan Border Field
Allan Border Field is a cricket ground in the Brisbane suburb of Albion in Queensland. The Australian Cricket Academy has been based at the oval since 2004, using it as a base for the development of elite cricketers throughout Australia. It was formerly known as ''Neumann Oval'' and was home to the Fortitude Valley Diehards rugby league team from 1909 until 1995. The oval was named for Fred "Firpo" Neumann, Valley's club captain (and later president) and Queensland and Australian representative footballer. Sianna Ushandi Ginger (born 26 July 2005) is an Australian cricketer who currently plays for Queensland in the Women's National Cricket League (WNCL). She plays as a right-handed batter and right-arm fast-medium bowler. Domestic career Ginger plays grade cricket for Valley District Cricket Club. In December 2022, Ginger captained Queensland at the Cricket Australia Under-19 National Female Championships, and was the third-highest run-scorer in the tournament, with 237 runs.
