The 2024–25 season is the 56th season of national competitive Soccer in Australia, association football in Australia and 142nd overall. National teams Men's senior Friendlies FIFA World Cup qualification =Third round= Table Matches Women's senior Friendlies The following is a list of friendlies (to be) played by the women's senior national team in 2024–25. 2024 Paris Olympic games Australia named a squad of 18 players and 4 alternates for the tournament on 4 June 2024. Australia performed poorly in the group stage, losing to both Germany and the United States, while barely beating Zambia, the lowest ranked team in the tournament (conceding 5 goals to them). Ben Garuccio
Benjamin Garuccio (born 15 June 1995) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a left back for Western United in the A-league. Born in Adelaide, Garuccio played youth football at the Australian Institute of Sport before making his professional debut for Melbourne Heart. In 2016, he moved back to Adelaide to play for Adelaide United. Garuccio signed for Scottish club Hearts in May 2018. He returned to Australia in October 2020 with Melbourne City. Tate Russell (born 24 August 1999) is an Australian soccer player who plays as a right back for Western United in the A-League. Career From Wollongong, Russell began his career in 2003 with the Wollongong Olympic Junior club before joining Football NSW's Project 22 in 2008. Hiroshi Ibusuki
is a Japanese professional footballer who plays for Western United as a striker. Club career Born in Nagareyama, Chiba, Ibusuki played all his youth football with Kashiwa Reysol. On 2 January 2009, aged not yet 18, he signed a four-year contract with Spanish club Girona FC. He made his Segunda División debut on 19 April, playing ten minutes in a 0–3 away loss to Hércules CF at the Estadio José Rico Pérez.
