2024–25 Vermont Catamounts Women's Basketball Team
The 2024–25 Vermont Catamounts women's basketball team represents the University of Vermont during the 2024–25 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Catamounts, led by sixth-year head coach Alisa Kresge, play their home games at the Patrick Gym in Burlington, Vermont as members of the America East Conference. Previous season The Catamounts finished the 2023–24 season 25–12, 12–4 in America East play, to finish in third place. They defeated UMBC and Albany before falling to Maine in the America East tournament championship game. They received an at-large bid to the WNIT, where they defeated Niagara in the second round, Colgate in the Super 16 and Purdue in the Great 8, before falling to eventual tournament champions Saint Louis in the Fab 4. Alisa Kresge
Alisa Kresge (born April 1, 1985) is a former American women's basketball player and current coach. She is the head coach of the Vermont Catamounts women's basketball team. Playing career Raised in Holmdel Township, New Jersey, Kresge played prep basketball at Red Bank Catholic High School. Kresge played at Marist Red Foxes women's basketball, Marist where she was part of four Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, MAAC regular-season title teams, and three MAAC tournament championship teams. With the Red Foxes, Kresge made three NCAA tournament appearances as a player, culminating in a Sweet 16 appearance in 2007 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament, 2007. She graduated as the school's all-time leader in assists with 596, and second all-time in steals with 222. The 2024 Women's National Invitation Tournament was a single-elimination tournament of 48 NCAA Division I women's college basketball teams that were not selected for the field of the 2024 Women's NCAA Tournament or the 2024 WBIT. The tournament committee announced the 48-team field on March 17, following the selection of the fields for the NCAA Tournament and WBIT. Deerfield High School (abbreviated DHS) is a comprehensive public high school in Deerfield, Illinois, United States. It is part of Township High School District 113, which also includes Highland Park High School. DHS opened in 1959, and graduated its first class in 1963. Riverwoods is a village in Lake County, Illinois, United States. It was established on the banks of the Des Plaines River in 1959 by local steel magnate Jay Peterson. Abbotsford Senior Secondary School
Abbotsford Senior Secondary School is a public high school in Abbotsford, British Columbia, part of School District 34 Abbotsford. History Abbotsford Secondary School was established in 1952, when Abbotsford was a village. The school's name was changed over the summer of 2006 to Abbotsford Collegiate, as part of the school district merging Abbotsford Senior Secondary and the Career Technical Centre. The name was changed back to Abbotsford Senior Secondary School in 2012. The 2023–24 Saint Louis Billikens women's basketball team represented Saint Louis University during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Billikens, led by second-year head coach Rebecca Tillett, played their home games at Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri as members of the Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10). Previous season The Billikens finished the 2022–23 season 17–18, 10–6 in A-10 play, to finish in a tie for third place. VTDigger is an investigative online newspaper that reports on the state of Vermont in the United States. Founded in September 2009 by Anne Galloway, the newspaper has grown to have an average monthly audience of 650,000 and won numerous awards for its coverage of matters of statewide significance, including the flooding in July 2023. The digital news outlet is funded primarily through donations and philanthropy ($2.2 million in 2022), as well as through underwriting (business support). The 2023–24 Purdue Boilermakers women's basketball team represented Purdue University during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Boilermakers were led by third-year head coach Katie Gearlds, and played their home games at Mackey Arena where they were a member of the Big Ten Conference. The Boilermakers finished the season with a 13–18 overall record and a 5–13 record within the Big Ten.
