2024–25 Vanderbilt Commodores Women's Basketball Team
The 2024–25 Vanderbilt Commodores women's basketball team represented Vanderbilt University during the 2024–25 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Commodores, led by fourth-year head coach Shea Ralph, play their home games at Memorial Gymnasium and compete as members of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). Previous season The Commodores finished the season 23–10 (9–7 SEC) to finish in sixth in the SEC and received a bid to the NCAA tournament, where they defeated Columbia in the First Four before losing to Baylor in the first round. Shea Ralph
Shea Sydney Ralph (born March 12, 1978) is a former collegiate basketball player and current head coach for the Vanderbilt Commodores women's basketball team. She was previously an assistant coach at UConn from 2008 to 2021. Ralph was proficient in multiple sports, set state high school records in basketball, and earned multiple national player of the year awards in high school and college. She helped win a national championship as a player at the University of Connecticut in 2000 and won numerous individual awards, including the Sports Illustrated for Women Player of the Year and the Honda Sports Award for the best collegiate female athlete in basketball. She suffered five ACL injuries in her career, two of which led to sitting out the 1997–98 season. Prosper High School is a class 6A public high school in Prosper, Texas, United States. It is part of Prosper Independent School District located in western Collin County, with a small portion of the district extending into Denton County. Prosper is a suburb in Collin and Denton counties in the U.S. state of Texas. Prosper is located within the Dallas-Fort Worth area. As of the 2010 census, its population was 9,423. As of 2023, the population was 37,746. History The first settlers arrived in 1846 to farm cotton in the black fertile prairie soil. Between 1850 and 1902, two settlements existed - Rock Hill was two miles south of the present town and Richland was one mile north. The Pepperdine Waves women's basketball team is the basketball team that represents Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, United States. The school's team currently competes in the West Coast Conference. The team's last appearance in the NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament was in 2006.
