2024–25 Toronto Raptors Season
The 2024–25 Toronto Raptors season was the 30th season for the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). In honor of the Raptors' 30th season, they unveiled their 30th anniversary logo for this season. On April 1, the Raptors were eliminated from playoff contention for the 3rd consecutive season following a loss to the Chicago Bulls, becoming the last Eastern Conference team to be eliminated from competing in at least the NBA play-in tournament. Draft The Raptors entered this draft with a first-round pick and a second-round pick. They originally had good odds to keep a lottery draft pick as well, but they would ultimately lose that pick to the San Antonio Spurs with that pick falling to #8, which was outside of their protection range. Darko Rajaković
Darko Rajaković ( sr-Cyrl, Дарко Рајаковић; born 22 February 1979) is a Serbian professional basketball coach who is the head coach for the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Rajaković was the head coach of the Tulsa 66ers of the NBA G League for two seasons and the first head coach in NBA G League history born outside of North America. Rajaković went on to become an assistant coach for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Phoenix Suns and Memphis Grizzlies prior to becoming the head coach of the Toronto Raptors. Jamal Shead
Jamal Daniel Shead ( ; born July 24, 2002) is an American professional basketball player for the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Houston Cougars. Early life and high school career Shead began his high school career at John B. Connally High School before transferring to Manor High School. He averaged 18.1 points, 6 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game as a junior. Shead led Manor High School to the state tournament for the first time in school history and scored 44 points in a win over Rudder High School, earning District 18-5A Most Valuable Player honors. Basketball Africa League
The Basketball Africa League (BAL) is the premier men's basketball league in Africa. Founded in 2019, the league was established and is co-organized by NBA Africa and the FIBA, International Basketball Federation (FIBA). Each season typically runs from March to June, and in the current format of the league consists of twelve teams. Each of the teams qualify through their performance in their domestic competition. The NBA Academy Africa is a basketball team and academy operated by the National Basketball Association (NBA), located in Saly, Senegal. Opened in 2017, the academy offers both education and basketball training. Several alumni of the program have played in professional leagues.
