2024–25 Texas Longhorns Men's Basketball Team
The 2024–25 Texas Longhorns men's basketball team represented the University of Texas at Austin in the 2024–25 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They played their home games at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, as members of the Southeastern Conference. The Longhorns were led by second-year head coach Rodney Terry. Rodney Terry
Rodney Eric Terry (born March 27, 1968) is an American college basketball coach who was most recently the head men's basketball head coach at the University of Texas at Austin. Early life and education Born in Angleton, Texas, Terry graduated from Angleton High School and played college basketball at St. Edward's University in Austin, where he was the all-time leading scorer (record still stands as of 2025). Terry graduated from St. Edward's in 1990 with a bachelor's degree in business administration with a minor in physical education. Coaching career Early career Terry began his coaching career as an assistant coach at St. Edward's in the 1990–91 season. Then, Terry became an assistant at James Bowie High School also in Austin, where he would remain from 1991 to 1993.
