2024–25 Seton Hall Pirates Men's Basketball Team
The 2024–25 Seton Hall Pirates men's basketball team represented Seton Hall University in the 2024–25 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They were led by third-year head coach Shaheen Holloway. The Pirates played their home games at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, and Walsh Gymnasium in South Orange, New Jersey, as members of the Big East Conference. Previous season The Pirates finished the 2023–24 season 25–12, 13–7 in Big East play to finish in a fourth place. They were defeated by St. John's in the first round of the Big East tournament. Shaheen Holloway
Shaheen Holloway (born October 7, 1976) is an American men's basketball coach and former player who is the coach for the Seton Hall Pirates. He played college basketball at Seton Hall from 1996 to 2000. A point guard, Holloway played professionally for seven seasons. He served as the head coach for the Saint Peter's Peacocks from 2018 to 2022, where he led the 15th seed Peacocks to the Elite Eight in the 2022 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament. As head coach of Seton Hall, he led the top-seeded Pirates to the 2024 National Invitation Tournament (NIT) championship. Al-Amir Dawes
Al-Amir Maurice Dawes (born September 28, 2001) is an American college basketball player for the Seton Hall Pirates of the Big East Conference. He previously played for the Clemson Tigers. High school career Dawes grew up in Newark, New Jersey and began playing basketball at the age of three. He attended The Patrick School, where he played behind Bryce Aiken as a freshman. Dawes averaged 6.7 points per game as a sophomore, on a team that finished 28–4 and won the New Jersey Tournament of Champions. As a junior, he averaged 11.8 points per game, helping The Patrick School reach the Union County Tournament final. D'Andre "Dre" Davis (born August 25, 2001) is an American college basketball player for the Ole Miss of the Southeastern Conference. He previously played for the Louisville Cardinals and the Seton Hall Pirates. High school career In the 2019–20 season, Davis showed his skills as a senior at Lawrence Central High School, averaging 21.5 points, 8.7 rebounds per game. His team finished with a 22–3 record. The Hofstra Pride men's basketball team, known until 2000 as the Hofstra Flying Dutchmen, is the basketball team that represents Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, United States.
