2024–25 PBA Commissioner's Cup
The 2024–25 PBA Commissioner's Cup, also known as the 2024–25 Honda PBA Commissioner's Cup for sponsorship reasons, was the second conference of the 2024–25 PBA season of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). The 22nd edition of the Commissioner's Cup started on November 27, 2024, and ended on March 28, 2025. The tournament allowed teams to hire foreign players or imports with unlimited height limit. It was initially reported that the champions of this conference would represent the Philippines at the 2025 Basketball Champions League Asia, before it was instead awarded to the Meralco Bolts as champions of the 2024 PBA Philippine Cup. The PBA previously skipped the 2024 edition of the Asian continental club tournament. RPTV (TV Channel)
RPTV is a free-to-air television network in the Philippines. It is jointly owned and operated by TV5 Network, Inc., and Nine Media Corporation, with Radio Philippines Network (RPN) serving as its free-to-air broadcaster. RPTV was established through a content distribution, sales, and marketing agreement between TV5 (under its parent company MediaQuest Holdings) and Nine Media. Under this arrangement, TV5 provides programming and related services to Nine Media through its existing airtime lease agreement with RPN. RPTV officially launched on February 1, 2024, replacing CNN Philippines in its channel space. 2024 Basketball Champions League Asia
The 2024 Basketball Champions League Asia was the first edition of the Basketball Champions League Asia, and the 29th season of the continent's top club competition. The tournament was previously known as the FIBA Asia Champions Cup, and was last held in 2019. The main tournament was scheduled to take place in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. It was co-organized by the UAE Basketball Association and Shabab Al Ahli Club. The tournament was held at Sheikh Saeed Bin Maktoum Sports Hall. Al Riyadi of Lebanon won their third title and they earned the right to play in the 2024 FIBA Intercontinental Cup. Hong Kong Eastern
The Eastern Sports Club (), also known as Hong Kong Eastern (), is a professional men's basketball team of the Eastern Sports Club. The team also known as (). Eastern competes in the Hong Kong A1 Division, and the ASEAN Basketball League since 2016. It has won the Hong Kong A1 championship three times, in 1956, 2017 and 2023. History In 2015, the team won and promoted to 2016 Hong Kong A1 Division Championship. The team became fully professional in 2016. In the same year, the club would adopt the name Hong Kong Eastern and join the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL). They won the 2016–17 ABL season, and finished as semifinalists for the next two seasons. They also became Hong Kong A1 Division champions in 2018. The ABL's 2019–20 season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
