2024–25 Oregon Ducks Women's Basketball Team
The 2024–25 Oregon Ducks women's basketball team represents the University of Oregon during the 2024-25 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Ducks are led by eleventh-year head coach Kelly Graves, and play their home games at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, Oregon as a first-year member of the Big Ten Conference. Previous season The Ducks finished the 2023–24 season at 11–21, 2–16 in Pac-12 play, to finish in last place. As the 12th seed in the Pac-12 women's tournament, they lost to 5th seed Colorado by the score of 79–30 in the first round. Kelly Graves
Kelly Lee Graves (born January 14, 1963) is the current head women's basketball coach at the University of Oregon. Previously, Graves was the head women's basketball coach at Saint Mary's Gaels women's basketball, St. Mary's from 1997 to 2000, as well as Gonzaga Bulldogs women's basketball, Gonzaga University from 2000 to 2014. He was formerly an assistant coach for the Portland Pilots women's basketball, Portland Pilots (1994–1997) and St. Mary Gaels, where he later got his first head coaching stint with the Gaels from 1997 to 2000. From the 2004–05 season to the 2013–14 season, he guided Gonzaga to ten consecutive West Coast Conference regular season titles. The 2007 team went 13–1 in conference play, and later won the WCC conference tournament. The school also received its first ever NCAA tournament appearance. Ohio State Buckeyes Women's Basketball
The Ohio State women's basketball team represents Ohio State University and plays its home games in the Value City Arena at the Jerome Schottenstein Center, which they moved into in 1998. Prior to 1998, they played at St. John Arena. They have won 14 Big Ten titles (two additional championships have been vacated by the NCAA), which is the most in the conference and have 23 appearances in the NCAA Tournament, the most recent being in 2023 (two other appearances have been vacated). In 1993, they lost to Sheryl Swoopes and Texas Tech 84–82 for the national title. They captured the Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT) title in 2001, beating the New Mexico Lobos 62–61. Texas Longhorns Women's Basketball
The Texas Longhorns women's basketball team represents the University of Texas at Austin in NCAA Division I College basketball, intercollegiate women's basketball competition. The Longhorns compete in the SEC Conference. Under head coach Jody Conradt, the second National Collegiate Athletic Association, NCAA Division I basketball coach to win 900 career games (after Tennessee Lady Volunteers basketball, Tennessee's Pat Summitt), the Longhorns won the 1986 national championship. Conradt retired after the 2006–07 season, and was replaced by Duke Blue Devils, Duke head coach Gail Goestenkors. DeSoto, Texas
DeSoto is a city in Dallas County, Texas, United States. DeSoto is a suburb of Dallas and is part of the Best Southwest area, which includes DeSoto, Cedar Hill, Duncanville, and Lancaster. History The area was first settled in 1847, making it one of the oldest communities in North Texas. A post office was established in 1881, and the settlement was named DeSoto in honor of Thomas Hernando DeSoto Stewart, a doctor dedicated to the community. By 1885, DeSoto was home to around 120 people, a cotton gin, and a general store. Soon after, the population declined to below 50. In 1930, 97 people were living in the community, with several businesses. After World War II, DeSoto and surrounding areas began to grow. BYU Cougars Women's Basketball
The BYU Cougars women's basketball team represents Brigham Young University in NCAA Division I competition. The Cougars, which compete in the Big 12 Conference, play their home games in the Marriott Center in Provo, Utah. BYU officially joined the Big 12 Conference on July 1, 2023. West Hills, Los Angeles
West Hills is a neighborhood in the western San Fernando Valley region of the city of Los Angeles, California. It is bordered by mountain ranges to the west and the Los Angeles neighborhoods of Chatsworth to the north, Canoga Park to the east, and Woodland Hills to the south. The Michigan State Spartans women's basketball team is the intercollegiate women's basketball program representing Michigan State University. The school competes in the Big Ten Conference in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Grace VanSlooten (born June 16, 2004) is an American college basketball player for Michigan State. She previously played for Oregon. High school career VanSlooten was born to Jon and Michelle VanSlooten. She played three years at Notre Dame Academy in Toledo, Ohio, before playing for IMG Academy during her senior year. During her junior year, she averaged 21.8 points and 12.5 rebounds per game, and was named a finalist for Ohio's Ms. Basketball. In three seasons at Notre Dame, she recorded 1,094 points and 635 rebounds.
