2024–25 Ohio State Buckeyes Men's Basketball Team
The 2024–25 Ohio State Buckeyes men's basketball team represented the Ohio State University during the 2024–25 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They were led by first-year head coach Jake Diebler, and played their home games at Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio, as a member of the Big Ten Conference. The team was selected to the College Basketball Crown, but declined the invite. Previous season The Buckeyes finished the 2023–24 season 22–14, 9–11 in Big Ten play to finish in a three-way tie for tenth place. As the No. 10 seed in the Big Ten tournament, they beat Iowa in the first round, before losing to Illinois in the quarterfinals. The Buckeyes automatically qualified for the National Invitation Tournament as the No. 2 seed where they defeated Cornell in the first round and Virginia Tech in the second round, before losing to Georgia in the quarterfinal. Jake Diebler
Jacob Michael Diebler (born October 28, 1986) is an American basketball coach and former player who currently serves as the head coach for the Ohio State Buckeyes men's basketball team. Since 2019, he had served as an assistant coach at Ohio State. On February 14, 2024, he was named the interim head coach at Ohio State after the firing of head coach Chris Holtmann. He has previously served as an assistant at both Valparaiso and Vanderbilt under his college head coach and current Grand Canyon head coach Bryce Drew. He has also worked under former Ohio State head coach Thad Matta as a video coordinator in between his assistant coaching jobs at Valparaiso and Vanderbilt. He is known for being a good recruiter, being the primary recruiter for 5-star recruit and future Cleveland Cavaliers guard Darius Garland. 2024 National Invitation Tournament
The 2024 National Invitation Tournament was a single-elimination tournament of 32 NCAA Division I men's college basketball teams not selected to participate in the 2024 NCAA tournament. The tournament began on March 19 and ended on April 4. The first three rounds were played on campuses, with the semifinal and championship final played at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. Jamison Battle
Jamison P. Battle (born May 10, 2001) is an American professional basketball player for the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the George Washington Colonials of the Atlantic 10 Conference, and the Minnesota Golden Gophers and Ohio State Buckeyes of the Big Ten Conference. The Michigan Wolverines men's basketball team is the College basketball, intercollegiate men's basketball program representing the University of Michigan. The Seton Hall Pirates men's basketball program is the NCAA Division I intercollegiate men's basketball program of Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. 2023–24 Virginia Tech Hokies Men's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 Virginia Tech Hokies men's basketball team represented Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University during the U.S. 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season . The Hokies were led by fifth-year head coach Mike Young and played their home games at Cassell Coliseum in Blacksburg, Virginia, as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
