2024–25 Ohio Bobcats Men's Basketball Team
The 2024–25 Ohio University Bobcats men's basketball team represented Ohio University for the 2024–25 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Bobcats were led by fifth-year head coach Jeff Boals, a 1995 graduate of Ohio University. They played their home games at the Convocation Center in Athens, Ohio, as a member of the Mid-American Conference (MAC). After returning most of the team the finished tied for second in the MAC the prior season, the Bobcats were picked to win the conference but finished with a 16–16 record. They posted a disappointing 6–6 record entering 2025 prior to the start of league play. They finished tied for fourth in the MAC with a 10–6 conference record and lost their January matchup in the MAC-SBC challenge. With a first round loss to Toledo, they failed to reach the MAC tournament semifinals for the first time since 2020 when the tournament was cancelled due to coronavirus pandemic. Jeff Boals
Jeff Boals (born September 5, 1972) is the head coach of the Ohio Bobcats men's basketball team. Boals spent seven years as an assistant coach for the Ohio State Buckeyes men's basketball team under the tutelage of Thad Matta. In his first head coaching job, he replaced Steve Pikiell as the head coach for the Stony Brook Seawolves for three years. Playing career A 1995 graduate of Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences, Boals was a four-year letterwinner on the Bobcats' basketball team. Also a two-year captain, he helped guide Ohio to a 1994 MAC regular season and tournament championship to send the Bobcats to the NCAA tournament, the next season the program won the Preseason National Invitation tournament. Stony Brook Seawolves Men's Basketball
The Stony Brook Seawolves men's basketball team is the College basketball, intercollegiate men's basketball program representing Stony Brook University. The school competes in the Coastal Athletic Association in NCAA Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The team plays its home games at Island Federal Credit Union Arena, located on the university's campus in Stony Brook, New York. Stony Brook entered the Division I level in 1999, making the NCAA tournament for the first time 2016 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, in 2016. The Iowa State Cyclones men's basketball team represents Iowa State University (ISU) and competes in the Big 12 Conference of NCAA Division I. The Cyclones play their home games at Hilton Coliseum on Iowa State's campus. The Nicholls Colonels men's basketball team represents Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana in the sport of basketball. The school's team currently competes in the Southland Conference. The Ohio Wesleyan Battling Bishops are the sports and other competitive teams at Ohio Wesleyan University.
