2024–25 North Carolina Central Eagles Women's Basketball Team
The 2024–25 North Carolina Central Eagles women's basketball team represented North Carolina Central University during the 2024–25 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Eagles, led by second year head coach Terrence Baxter, played their home games at McDougald–McLendon Arena in Durham, North Carolina as members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC). Previous season The 2023–24 North Carolina Central Eagles women's basketball team, Eagles finished the 2023–24 NCAA Division I women's basketball season, 2023–24 season 16–15, 8–6 in MEAC play, to finish in third place. In the 2024 MEAC women's basketball tournament, MEAC tournament, they defeated 2023–24 Delaware State Hornets women's basketball team, Delaware State in the quarterfinals before falling to 2022–23 Norfolk State Spartans women's basketball team, Norfolk State in the semifinals. McDougald–McLendon Arena
McDougald–McLendon Arena is a 3,500-seat multi-purpose arena in Durham, North Carolina. Opened in 1950, it is home to the North Carolina Central University Eagles basketball and volleyball teams. The arena is named for NCCU alumnus and civic leader Richard L. McDougald and former coach John McLendon. McDougald was instrumental in helping blacks achieve home ownership in Durham in the mid-20th century, while McLendon helped organize "The Secret Game" between then named North Carolina College and Duke University Medical School in 1944, which was the first fully integrated college basketball game. Winchester is a census-designated place (CDP) in Riverside County, California, USA. As of the 2010 census, the CDP had a total population of 2,534, up from 2,155 at the 2000 census.
