2024–25 North American Winter
The 2024–25 North American winter was considerably colder than the previous winter season, and much more wintry across the North American continent, signified by several rounds of bitterly cold temperatures occurring. The season started with a November 2024 Northeast Pacific bomb cyclone, powerful bomb cyclone that impacted the West Coast of the United States in mid-to-late November, and a severe lake-effect snowstorm in the Great Lakes later that month. Notable winter events occurred throughout the season, including a January 5–6, 2025 United States blizzard, wide-ranging blizzard that affected much of the central parts of the United States in early January, followed by a January 9–11, 2025 United States winter storm, winter storm that brought snow and ice to the South, a January 19–20, 2025 nor'easter, quick-moving nor'easter that affected much of the Northeastern United States, and a 2025 Gulf Coast blizzard, historic blizzard that struck the Gulf Coast of the United ...
