2024–25 Michigan Wolverines Men's Basketball Team
The 2024–25 Michigan Wolverines men's basketball team represented the University of Michigan during the 2024–25 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. It was the program's 109th season and its 108th consecutive year as a member of the Big Ten Conference. The Wolverines were led by first-year head coach Dusty May, and played their home games at Crisler Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Previous season The Michigan Wolverines finished the 2023–24 season with an 8–24 record, 3–17 in the conference, finishing last in the Big Ten. As the No. 14 seed in the 2024 Big Ten tournament, they lost to Penn State in the first round. Offseason On March 15, 2024, Michigan fired head coach Juwan Howard. Dusty May
Dusty Allan May (born December 30, 1976) is an American college basketball coach, currently the Wolverines men's basketball head coach at the University of Michigan. He was the head coach for Florida Atlantic University from 2018 to 2024, leading the Owls to the NCAA Final Four in 2023. May was hired by Michigan in 2024, replacing Juwan Howard. Coaching career Early years Dusty Allan May was born in Terre Haute, Indiana. After graduating from Eastern Greene High School in Bloomfield, Indiana in 1995, May served as a student manager at Indiana University from 1996 to 2000, under legendary Hoosiers head coach Bob Knight. After graduating, he had video and administrative roles with Indiana as well as at the University of Southern California (USC), and his first assistant coaching job at Eastern Michigan University in 2005. The 2024 NBA draft was the 78th edition of the National Basketball Association's annual NBA draft, draft. Unlike recent years, the 2024 draft took place over two nights. Will Tschetter
Will Tschetter (born January 31, 2003) is an American college basketball player for the Michigan Wolverines of the Big Ten Conference. While playing for Stewartville High School, he led the state of Minnesota in scoring as a junior and was third in the state in scoring as a senior, finishing as the runner-up for Minnesota Mr. Basketball behind Chet Holmgren. Tschetter is the son of Kasey Morlock. Early life Tschetter was raised on a farm on the outskirts of the small town of Stewartville, Minnesota, in Southeast Minnesota. The town, which is a suburb of Rochester, Minnesota, has a population of 6,000, and the farm is a distance from central Stewartville.
