2024–25 Kansas Jayhawks Men's Basketball Team
The 2024–25 Kansas Jayhawks men's basketball team represented the University of Kansas in the 2024–25 NCAA Division I men's basketball season, the Jayhawks' 127th basketball season. The Jayhawks, members of the Big 12 Conference, played their home games at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Kansas. They were led by 22nd year Hall of Fame head coach Bill Self. Bill Self
Billy Eugene Self Jr. (born December 27, 1962) is an American basketball coach who is the head coach of the Kansas Jayhawks men's basketball, Kansas Jayhawks men's basketball team. Self has held various coaching roles at the collegiate level and has been the coach of the Jayhawks since 2003. Zeke Mayo
Zeke Mayo (born December 18, 2002) is an American basketball player who will join the Washington Wizards during the 2025 NBA Summer League. He previously played for the for the Kansas Jayhawks and the South Dakota State Jackrabbits. High school career Mayo attended Lawrence High School in Lawrence, Kansas. As a senior, he averaged 21.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. He was named the co-recipient of the DiRenna Award as the top player in the Kansas City area before committing to play college basketball at South Dakota State University. College career As a freshman, Mayo made an immediate impact, starting in 21 games and averaging 9.6 points per game. LJ Cryer
Lionel "LJ" Cryer Jr. (born October 9, 2001) is an American basketball player. He played college basketball for the Houston Cougars and Baylor Bears. High school career Cryer played basketball for Morton Ranch High School in Katy, Texas. As a junior, he averaged 27.5 points, 5.8 assists, and 2.9 rebounds per game, earning District 19-6A MVP honors. In the regular season finale of his senior season, Cryer had a 50-point, 10-assist game against Mayde Creek High School. Caleb Khristopher Love (born September 27, 2001) is an American basketball player. He played college basketball for the North Carolina Tar Heels and the Arizona Wildcats. High school career Love attended Christian Brothers College High School in St. Louis, Missouri, and was coached by Justin Tatum, father of NBA player Jayson Tatum. He averaged 18.9 points and 4.3 rebounds per game as a junior as he transitioned to point guard. He led the school to the Class 5 runner-up to Rock Bridge High School. The Rice Owls men's basketball program is the intercollegiate men's basketball program of Rice University.
