2024–25 Indiana Hoosiers Men's Basketball Team
The 2024–25 Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball team represented Indiana University in the 2024–25 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They were led by fourth-year head coach, and former Indiana standout, Mike Woodson. The team played its home games at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Indiana, as a member of the Big Ten Conference. The season officially began with the annual event, Hoosier Hysteria, on Friday, October 18, 2024. By missing out on the 2025 NCAA Tournament, the Woodson era came to a close. Turning down other post-season tournament invites, the Hoosiers finished with an overall record of 19–13, and 10–10 in Big Ten Conference play. Mike Woodson
Michael Dean Woodson (born March 24, 1958) is an American professional basketball coach and former professional basketball player who is the associate head coach of the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association (NBA). With coach Bob Knight's Indiana Hoosiers, Woodson played collegiately from 1976 to 1980. As a junior team captain, his Hoosiers won the 1979 NIT Tournament and he was named to first team All-Big Ten. That summer Woodson won a gold medal as captain of the United States basketball team at the 1979 Pan American Games. His senior year, Woodson and Isiah Thomas led the 1979–80 Hoosiers to a conference title and a berth in the NCAA Tournament's Sweet Sixteen. Kel'el Ware
Kel'el Ware ( ; born April 20, 2004) is an American basketball center for the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Oregon Ducks and the Indiana Hoosiers. Early life and high school career Kel’el Ware was born on April 20, 2004, in North Little Rock, Arkansas, and attended North Little Rock High School from 2018 to 2022. As a junior, he averaged 16.2 points, 9.1 rebounds and 4.1 blocks per game. As a senior, Ware averaged 20.3 points, 12 rebounds and 5.7 blocks per game. Myles Rice (born December 27, 2002) is an American college basketball player for the Maryland Terrapins. Rice previously played for the Indiana Hoosiers and the Washington State Cougars. Early life and high school Coming out of high school, Rice was rated as a three-star recruit and committed to play college basketball for the Washington State Cougars. Ball State Cardinals Men's Basketball
The Ball State Cardinals men's basketball team represents Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. The Cardinals first basketball season was 1920–21. The school's team currently competes in the Mid-American Conference. The team last played in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament in 2000. The Cardinals have had various levels of success throughout their 94 seasons of competition. Although there was little success in the program from its start until the 1970s, the next two decades would be the highlight of the program's performance. Basketball is a sport with five players on the court for each team at a time. Each player is assigned to different Position (team sports), positions defined by the strategic role they play. Guard, forward and center are the three main position categories. The standard team features two guards, two forwards, and a center.
