2024–25 ISU Grand Prix Of Figure Skating
The 2024–25 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating was a series of senior international competitions organized by the International Skating Union that were held from October 2024 through December 2024. Medals were awarded in men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. Skaters earned points based on their placements at each event and the top six in each discipline qualified to compete at the Grand Prix Final in Grenoble, France. The corresponding series for junior-level skaters was the 2024–25 ISU Junior Grand Prix. Competitions The Grand Prix Final was originally to be held in Orléans, France, but the French Federation of Ice Sports chose to relocate the event to Grenoble. This series included the following events. Requirements Skaters were eligible to compete on the senior Grand Prix circuit if they reached the age of 17 before July 1, 2024. The ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating (known as ISU Champions Series from 1995 to 1997) is a series of senior international figure skating competitions organized by the International Skating Union. The invitational series was inaugurated in 1995, incorporating several previously existing events. Medals are awarded in single skating, men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. The junior-level equivalent is the ISU Junior Grand Prix. Summary Competitions Currently, the sanctioned competitions for the Grand Prix are: * Skate America. The 2024 Skate Canada International was the second event of the 2024–25 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating: a senior-level international invitational competition series. It was held at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, from October 25–27. Medals were awarded in single skating, men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. Skaters also earned points toward qualifying for the 2024–25 Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final, 2024–25 Grand Prix Final. Wesley Chiu
Wesley Chiu (born March 20, 2005) is a Canadian figure skater. He is the 2024 Canadian champion and a two-time national bronze medallist (2022–23). He placed fourth at the 2022 World Junior Championships and won two medals on the ISU Junior Grand Prix, including gold at the 2021 JGP France II. Vladimir Andreyevich Litvintsev (; born 18 February 2001) is a Russian-Azerbaijani figure skater who represents Azerbaijan in singles skating, men's singles. He is the 2018 Volvo Open Cup champion, the 2019 Open Ice Mall Cup champion, and the 2018 Ice Star silver medalist.
