2024–25 George Mason Patriots Men's Basketball Team
The 2024–25 George Mason Patriots Men's basketball team represented George Mason University during the 2024–25 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The season was the 59th for the program, the second under head coach Tony Skinn, and the twelfth as members of the Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10). The Patriots played their home games at EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, Virginia. The 2025 season was one of the most successful seasons in George Mason history, and the program's most successful season since joining the Atlantic 10. Mason posted 26 wins, their most since 2011, were regular season co-champions of the Atlantic 10, their first regular season title also since 2011, and reached a conference tournament championship game for the first time since 2009. Tony Skinn
Tony Oludewa Jeffrey Skinn (born February 8, 1983) is a NigerianAmerican basketball coach and former player. He played guard for the George Mason Patriots from 2003 to 2006, later playing professionally for six years. Skinn is currently the head men's basketball coach at his alma mater, George Mason University. Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Skinn migrated with his family to the United States at the age of two. College career In his senior season, Skinn averaged 12.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game. The season was marked by the Patriots' surprising run to the Final Four. He scored a season-high 23 points and hit the game-winning three-point shot with 10.8 seconds left, in GMU's ESPN BracketBusters game against Wichita State on February 18, 2006, ultimately landing the Patriots in the USA Today/ESPN Top 25 for the first time in school history. Iona Gaels Men's Basketball
The Iona Gaels men's basketball team represents Iona University in New Rochelle, New York in NCAA Division I competition. The school's team competes in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and plays home games in Hynes Athletic Center. Iona hired Dan Geriot on March 20, 2025. The Gaels have appeared 16 times in the NCAA tournament, most recently in 2023. History Iona University has been competing in Division I basketball since the school's inception in 1940.
