2024–25 Galatasaray S.K. Season
The 2024–25 season is the 120th season in the existence of Galatasaray S.K., and the club's 67th consecutive season in the top flight of Turkish football. In addition to the domestic league, Galatasaray are participating in this season's edition of the Turkish Cup, Turkish Super Cup, UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League. This was the final season to feature club legend Fernando Muslera, who would leave from club at the end of season after 14 years and winning 19 trophies. Season overview Pre-season On 7 June, head coach Okan Buruk signed a new two-year contract with the club. On 28 June, Puma became the official jersey sponsor of Galatasaray. Adana Demirspor Kulübü is a multi-sports club based in Adana, Turkey. The football department is the most popular department which relegated to TFF 1. Lig on 16 March 2025 after 4 seasons at the Super Lig. Founded by railway workers of Turkish State Railways (TCDD) in 1940, The football team's success at the Adana League and the water polo team's unbeaten National League titles in the club's first three decades built a large worker fan base in the city. 2024–25 UEFA Europa League
The 2024–25 UEFA Europa League was the 54th season of Europe's secondary club football tournament organised by UEFA, and the 16th season since it was renamed from the UEFA Cup to the UEFA Europa League. This was the first season played under a new format, which replaced the 32-team group stage with a 36-team league phase. This increased the total number of matches played in the competition (excluding qualifying rounds) from 141 to 189. The new format also did not allow teams to transfer from the Champions League league or knockout phase to the Europa League knockout phase; as the winner of the Europa League automatically qualifies for the Champions League league phase, the Europa League winners (Atalanta in the 2023–24 edition) could no longer defend their title. The 2024–25 UEFA Champions League was the 70th season of Europe's premier club football tournament organised by UEFA, and the 33rd season since it was rebranded from the European Champion Clubs' Cup to the UEFA Champions League. This was the first season under a new format, which had 36 participating teams that played eight games each against different opponents in a league phase, all the teams being ranked in a joint group. Football is the most popular sport in Turkey, followed by basketball, tracing its roots to the Ottoman Empire. The first matches were played in Ottoman Salonica in 1875.
