2024–25 Elon Phoenix Men's Basketball Team
The 2024–25 Elon Phoenix men's basketball team represents Elon University during the 2024–25 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Phoenix, led by third-year head coach Billy Taylor, played their home games at the Schar Center in Elon, North Carolina as members of the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA). Previous season The Phoenix finished the 2023–24 season 13–19, 6–12 in CAA play, to finish in eleventh place. They were defeated by Hampton in the first round of the CAA tournament. Billy Taylor (basketball)
Billy Taylor (born June 12, 1973) is an American college basketball coach. He is the current head coach for the Elon Phoenix men's basketball team. Taylor previously served as the head men's basketball coach at Lehigh University from 2002 to 2007 and Ball State University from 2007 to 2013. Playing career Taylor was an honor roll student and commencement speaker at West Aurora High School in Aurora, Illinois. He was recruited by Digger Phelps to play at the University of Notre Dame, though he played under John MacLeod (basketball), John MacLeod. Coaching career After spending three years working for Arthur Andersen and earning his Certified Public Accountant, CPA, Taylor took an assistant coaching position under MacLeod at Notre Dame in 1998. Trinity-Pawling School (formerly The Pawling School) is an independent, college-preparatory boarding school for boys in grades 7-12 and postgraduates, located in Pawling, New York, United States. The school, located on a 230-acre campus in southern Dutchess County, is located 60 miles north of New York City. The UIC Flames men's basketball team represents the University of Illinois Chicago in Chicago, Illinois, United States. The team competes in the Missouri Valley Conference.
