2024 Women's British Open
The 2024 AIG Women's Open was played from 22 to 25 August at the Old Course at St Andrews in St Andrews, Scotland. It was the 48th Women's British Open, the 24th as a major championship on the LPGA Tour, and the fifth championship held under a sponsorship agreement with AIG. It was the third Women's British Open to be hosted at St Andrews. Lydia Ko won by two strokes over Nelly Korda, Jiyai Shin, Lilia Vu, and Yin Ruoning. It was her third major championship and came two weeks after winning the gold medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics. Professional Golf Tours
Professional golf tours are the means by which otherwise unconnected professional golf tournaments are organized into a regular schedule. There are separate tours for men and women; most are based in a specific geographical region, although some tours may hold tournaments in other parts of the world. Dame Laura Jane Davies, (born 5 October 1963) is an English professional golfer. She has achieved the status of her nation's most accomplished female golfer of modern times, being the second non-American to finish at the top of the LPGA money list as well as winning the Ladies European Tour (LET) Order of Merit a record seven times: in 1985, 1986, 1992, 1996, 1999, 2004 and 2006. Helen Alfredsson
Helen Christine Alfredsson (born 9 April 1965) is a Swedish professional golfer who played primarily on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour and is also a life member of the Ladies European Tour. She won the LPGA major Nabisco Dinah Shore and twice finished second in the U.S. Women's Open. Hinako Shibuno
is a Japanese professional golfer who won the 2019 Women's British Open. Early years Shibuno was born in Okayama, Japan on 15 November 1998. Her father was a discus thrower and her mother was a javelin thrower. She is the middle child of their three daughters. She started playing golf and softball when she was a second grader. As a softball player, she was a pitcher and a converted left-handed hitter. Catriona Isobel Matthew (née Lambert; born 25 August 1969) is a Scottish professional golfer who plays mainly on the US-based LPGA Tour and is also a member of the Ladies European Tour. Kim In-Kyung, also called In-Kyung Kim and I. K. Kim (born 13 June 1988), is a South Korean professional golfer currently playing on the LPGA Tour.
