The 2024 WAC men's basketball tournament was the postseason men's basketball tournament of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) for the 2023–24 season. The tournament was played from March 13–16, 2024 at the Orleans Arena in Paradise, Nevada near Las Vegas. Orleans Arena
Orleans Arena is a 9,500-seat multi-purpose arena in Paradise, Nevada, in the Las Vegas Valley. It is located at the The Orleans, Orleans Hotel and Casino and is operated by Coast Casinos, a subsidiary of Boyd Gaming, Boyd Gaming Corporation. 2023–24 Utah Valley Wolverines Men's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 Utah Valley Wolverines men's basketball team represented Utah Valley University (UVU) in the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Wolverines, led by first-year head coach Todd Phillips, played their home games at the UCCU Center in Orem, Utah, and competed as members of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC). The 2024 WAC women's basketball tournament is the postseason women's basketball tournament of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) for the 2023–24 season. The conference tournament is scheduled to be played from March 13–16, 2024 at the Orleans Arena in Paradise, Nevada near Las Vegas. Basketball seating capacity at the Orleans Arena is 7,471. The winner of the conference tournament will receive the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. Seeds Eight of the eleven members are invited to the tournament. The field for the WAC tournament has varied from six to last year's twelve qualifiers. While Tarleton and Utah Tech are ineligible for the NCAA tournament, they are eligible for the WAC tournament. 2023–24 UT Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros Men's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 UT Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros men's basketball team represented the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They were led by third-year head coach Matt Figger and played home games at UTRGV Fieldhouse as members of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC). They finished the season 6–25, 2–18 in WAC play to finish in eleventh place, and thus did not qualify to play in the WAC Tournament. This was UTRGV's last season in the WAC, and also Figger's last as head coach. UTRGV announced on March 19, 2024 that it had fired Figger, who left with a 29–65 record after three seasons. The 2023–24 Southern Utah Thunderbirds men's basketball team represented Southern Utah University in the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They were led by first-year head coach Rob Jeter and played their games at America First Event Center as members of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC). They finished the season 10–21, 5–15 in WAC play, to finish in tenth place, and thus they did not qualify to play in the WAC tournament. Previous season The Thunderbirds finished the 2022–23 season 24–13, 12–6 in WAC play, to finish in third place.
