2024 US Open – Men's Singles
Jannik Sinner defeated Taylor Fritz in the final, 6–3, 6–4, 7–5 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2024 US Open. It was his second major title. Sinner became the fourth (and youngest) man to win both hardcourt singles majors (Australian Open and US Open) in the same year, after Mats Wilander, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic, and the first to win his first two major singles titles in the same year since Guillermo Vilas in 1977. Djokovic was the defending champion, but lost in the third round to Alexei Popyrin. This marked Djokovic's earliest defeat at the US Open since 2006. Jannik Sinner (born 16 August 2001) is an Italian professional tennis player. He is currently ranked as the world No. 1 in men's singles by the ATP, the first Italian to reach the top ranking. Sinner has won 19 singles titles on the ATP Tour, including three majors at the 2024 and 2025 Australian Opens, 2024 US Open, as well as the 2024 ATP Finals and four Masters 1000 titles. He also led Italy to the 2023 and 2024 Davis Cup crowns. Michael Chang
Michael Te-pei Chang (born February 22, 1972) is an American former professional tennis player and coach. He was ranked world No. 2 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) in 1996. Chang is the youngest man in history to win a singles major, winning the 1989 French Open at 17 years and 109 days old. Jan Stefan Edberg (; born 19 January 1966) is a Swedish former professional tennis player. He was ranked as the world No. 1 in both men's singles and men's doubles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), one of two players in the Open Era to hold both positions (alongside John McEnroe). Daniel Evans (born 23 May 1990) is a British professional tennis player from England. He has been ranked as high as world No. 21 in singles by the ATP, which he achieved on 7 August 2023.
