2024 UCI Road World Championships
The 2024 UCI Road World Championships was the 97th edition of the UCI Road World Championships, the annual world championships for road bicycle racing. It was held between 22 and 29 September 2024 in Zürich, Switzerland, alongside the 2024 UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships, UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships. A total of thirteen events were held, consisting of six road races, six individual time trials and a team time trial mixed relay (all of them finishing in Zürich in front of Sechseläutenplatz). The event was overshadowed by a fatality in competition, as 18-year-old Swiss rider Muriel Furrer died from injuries sustained in a race crash during the junior women's road race. The event was continued at the express request of Muriel Furrer's parents and family, with a series of tributes and memorials. Oceania Road Cycling Championships
The Oceania Road Championships are a series of road cycling races held annually to determine the Oceanian champion in each event. The event has been held since 1995 and consists of an elite and under-23 men's and an elite women's road race and time trial. The Oceania Cycling Confederation hosts the events to provide an opportunity for athletes to gain UCI points, and to help selection for national team representation at world championships. Mikkel Bjerg (born 3 November 1998) is a Danish cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career In December 2020, Vine was initially announced to be joining UCI Continental team for the 2021 season.
