2024 South American Under-20 Women's Football Championship
The 2024 South American Under-20 Women's Football Championship, officially the 2024 CONMEBOL Sub20 Femenina, was the 11th edition of the South American U-20 Women's Championship ''(CONMEBOL Sub20 Femenina)'', the biennial international youth football championship organised by CONMEBOL for the women's under-20 national teams of South America. It was held in Ecuador from 11 April to 5 May 2024. The top four teams of the tournament qualified for the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Colombia as the CONMEBOL representatives besides Colombia who automatically qualified as host. Colombia finished in the top four, the fifth in the final stage also qualified. Brazil are the defending champions having won the title in 2022. 2004 South American Under-19 Women's Football Championship
The 2004 South American Under-19 Women's Football Championship was held in Encarnación, Paraguay (group A), Caracas, Venezuela (group B), Sucre, Bolivia (group C) and in Angra dos Reis, Brazil (Final round), from 11 to 29 May 2004. It was the first edition of the South American Youth Women's Championship and the only one with an age limit of 19 years. Team Brazil won this tournament and qualified for the 2004 FIFA U-19 Women's World Championship. The Colombian Football Federation () is the governing body of association football, football in Colombia. The organization was founded in 1924, and has been affiliated with FIFA since 1936. It is a member of CONMEBOL and in charge of the Colombia national football team and the Colombia women's national football team. Estadio Modelo Alberto Spencer Herrera
Estadio Modelo Alberto Spencer, also known as just Estadio Modelo, is a multi-purpose stadium in Guayaquil, Ecuador. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), association football matches and it sometimes hosts games of Rocafuerte Fútbol Club, Club 9 de Octubre, Club Sport Patria, Club Deportivo Everest, Calvi Fútbol Club, Panamá Sporting Club and C.S. Norte América, Club Sport Norteamérica. The stadium holds 42,000, and was opened in July 1959. After the death of Copa Libertadores all-time top scorer and Ecuadorian national Alberto Spencer in November 2006, the Ecuadorian Football Federation renamed the stadium in his honor to Estadio Modelo Alberto Spencer Herrera.
