2024 Segunda Federación Play-offs
The 2024 Segunda Federación play-offs (''Playoffs de Ascenso'' or ''Promoción de Ascenso'') are the final play-offs for promotion from 2023–24 Segunda Federación to the 2024–25 Primera Federación. Format Twenty teams participated in the promotion play-off. Each of the five groups of the Segunda División RFEF are represented by the four teams that finished the regular season between the second and fifth positions. In the draw for the first stage, the participating teams were assigned to pots corresponding to their final regular season position. While avoiding matches between teams from the same regular season group, second-place finishers were drawn against fifth-place finishers while teams that finished third would play teams that finished fourth. The same draw process was repeated, to the extent that it would be possible, in the draw for the second round. 2023–24 Segunda Federación
The 2023–24 Segunda Federación season is the third for the Segunda Federación, the fourth-highest level in the Spanish football league system. Ninety teams participated, divided into five groups of eighteen clubs each based on geographical proximity. In each group, the champions automatically promoted to Primera Federación, and the second to fifth placers will play promotion play-offs. The last five teams in each group will be relegated to the Tercera Federación; in addition, the four worst teams classified 13th in their group will contest play-offs to define the last two relegation places. Alberto Vaquero Aguilar (born 12 November 2002) is a Spanish footballer who plays as a midfielder. Seed (sports)
In sport, seeding is the practice of separating the most skilled competitors from each other in the early rounds of a tournament. Players or teams are "planted" into the bracket in such a manner that the best do not meet until later in the competition, usually based on ranking from the regular season.
